One of my story ideas, that I provisionally tag here as BloodBLAZE on the rare occasion that I post about it, has been rolling around in my head for well over a decade now. I'm mostly content to let it do so for now, as it has changed a lot over the years and I'll fairly frequently get fun random bursts of inspiration about it as I mull it over.

That being said, there's one character in BloodBLAZE who I have a major love/hate relationship with, and that's Pavlo. I did not create Pavlo. Pavlo created and continues to create himself.

Just earlier I was thinking about how my two main characters and a good number of the supporting cast are rather tall and from the deep recesses of my mind I heard Pavlo shout "Yeah but I'm a short king! You're good!", so apparently that's a thing now. Sounds good, Pavlo, thanks. Absolutely was not what I was thinking and I might just veto it later but thank you for your valuable input.

For the record, this is the same Pavlo that started out as a name drop in a pile of corpses and captions all of his selfies in iambic pentameter. He's a major supporting character now. He decided that, too.
