                         DERRICK FALCO’S FUNERAL

After Derrick’s tragic murder in the hands of Elias and Kyle, the Blacks, the Devereauxs, and the wolves work together to give him a proper burial. The grounds have been properly arranged for a magical ceremony to honor those who have lost their lives in battle. Victoria Devereaux, in her first public outing after recovering from her injuries, read his last rites and performed the ceremony. Amaya Falco dedicated a few words to her deceased brother. Derrick’s body proceeded to be burned in accordance to witch tradition, and his ashes will remain buried at Carden Manor. There’s an improvised tombstone in place. It reads:

                                                          Derrick Falco                                                     Alpha. Brother. Friend                                                            1981 - 2020

Elias however, does not get a funeral, as his treason is considered a dishonorable offense. The Blacks plan on having his body disposed by their staff.

A VOTE IS CALLED AGAIN

Following the events of Derrick’s funeral, a vote for alpha is announced again, during a time of desperate leadership. Eden formally nominates Victoria as alpha. No one else comes forward in opposition. The votes are tallied and Victoria wins nearly unanimously. 

Victoria Devereaux is the new pack alpha. She will pick a beta of her choosing.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐑

The clock strikes midnight in a room unoccupied, where a grand piano has been sitting for the purpose of fancy gatherings and parties with royal champagne and drunk attendees. Its THE BALL ROOM, but stripped of tables, and staff members, and in the distance someone is playing the keys like a true virtuoso, Bach’s TOCCATA AND FUGUE IN D MINOR, with the intention to wake every resident of the manor from their slumber and attract the attention of the wolves who are not standing guard duty.

On top of the Piano sits a CUP FULL OF BLOOD, with droplets dripping from its edges, onto the antique instrument. On the edge stands one of Carden Manor’s very own cooking staff, his hand hovering over the glass cup while it bleeds until it overflows                          and on the ground, somewhere by the entrance of the ball room, CELESTINA BLACK’S SEVERED HEAD, her lifeless body next to the piano bench where NICHOLAUS DE MORE sits, pleasantly enjoying the sound of the piano, calm and collected, despite the affluence of blood on his hands. 

Meanwhile, in the basement, a woman takes the stairs with surprising amount of patience, SABINA NUVELL holding BRIGID DEVEREAUX’S HEART in her right hand. Brigid’s body lays behind the broken bars of her cell with a hole in her chest, a mercy killing in the eyes of Carden Manor’s hostile takeover, and a trail of bloody boot prints leading up to the first floor.

They did not come alone, though The Devereaux coven have provided the manor with an army of werewolves and witches trained in battle, they are no match to their foes, and another THREE VAMPIRES remain scattered around the manor, looking to cause nothing but trouble, and claim what is rightfully theirs, and who have KNOCKED OUT the three wolves standing guard with a magical sedative: ISA, RONAN, and PEYTON. 

Somewhere on the third floor, THIERRY ASTOR sleeps without a solitary clue of what is happening right below her. 

NOTE: ( As your characters wake up, they may encounter any or all of these vampires around the manor and as everyone gathers towards the ball room, NICHOLAUS DE MORE makes an announcement ... )
