What Makes A Hero?
@bloodofthehero starter for Link and Vair!
The days after Ganondorf’s demise were busy. Vair scarcely had a day off despite Zelda’s attempts to keep him rested and able. Every day he was off-duty, he spent doing the same thing: looking for the hero and trying to catch a moment with him. Eventually, he managed the feat.
Vair caught a glimpse of the hero working with a group of cats in the streets of Castle Town, and he managed to cross the tides of passersby to catch his attention, scattering the cats in doing so.
“Excuse me. You are Link, yes?” As if anyone else who wore that tunic would be, according to Vair’s wife.
The hero of legend... Vair didn’t doubt he had to be worthy of that title somehow. The royal guards to Zelda were plenty strong, each bearing the virtues of the golden goddesses in spades. No offense meant, but Vair had trouble comprehending exactly what made it so a farm boy from Ordon could defeat Ganondorf and restore peace to Hyrule when the royal guards could not.
And he wanted to know.
