five times kissed - Bloodpuppets
send me five times kissed for a drabble about five times our muses kissed
Cavan was asleep and was refusing to get up. Again.
Megan eyed the water bottle on the nightstand. It always worked. But she considered a different route. She moved closer to the sleeping vampire, noticing that the hickey that she had left on his neck the night before had disappeared. Damn healing ability, she wanted to see it in the light... not that she'd admit to wanting to see it.
Softly, her lips pressed against his. A soft inhale of air and Cavan was joining the land of the awake. His lips twitched against hers before returning the kiss. Megan let her tongue glide along his bottom lip before pulling away. “Morning, sleeping beauty.”
Then she grabbed the water bottle off the side table and dumped it on him anyway, actually giggling as she hurried from the room in Cavan's robe.
Somehow Twilight made it onto the bigscreen in the Manor instead of Sweeney Todd. Megan hadn't honestly heard much about this Twilight-craze but now she had realized she had not missed out on much. Judging by the looks on Pan's and Shadow's faces though, their prank had worked just as planned.
Oddly enough not many had actually left the theater, they were just sticking around to make fun of the movie and hope that Three Eye could find the actual film they were going to watch and put that in instead.
Megan glanced sympathetically at Cavan, who was quietly seething. She eyed the screen where Edward was showing off his sparkly chest. “... Sugar, I'm glad you don't sparkle.” She mumbled before pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Cavan brightened up for a few seconds. Enough for the screen to go black and for Three Eye to announce that he couldn't find the Tim Burton version of the movie, but apparently a stage version was stashed away. So the screen lit up and then everyone started to enjoy movie night... even when Cavan snickered because Megan accidentally started humming along.
Life couldn't get much better than this.
Megan was breathless as she rolled off of her lover, trying to once again remember how she went over fifty years without having this much fun. Her breathing slowly paced itself out and she glanced over at Cavan. God, his hair was even in a worse state than normal. His sky eyes met hers and a smile quirked across his lips.
The necromancer moved back over, letting herself drape over him. She kissed him on the forehead, on the cheek, and then on the lips, lazy and slow. She was feeling quite affectionate tonight. And judging by how his hand rested on the small of her back, he was too.
Megan didn't do well with being told she fucked up.
So when she stumbled in, looking like she'd fought a hundred demons, and collapsed on Cavan's living room floor... being interrogated by an angry Irish vampire when she was conscious again was not what she wanted to hear.
So she yelled back. She was fine now, Three Eye patched her up pretty good and the bullet wounds didn't even hit vital organs. She'd been in worse condition before, this wasn't new, it wasn't like it could kill her anyway.
It wasn't until she'd stormed off into her room and slammed the door, refused to pick up her phone three times, and had some time to cool down until she realized why he was so upset. The necromancer hadn't... had anyone in her life like this before. Someone that wasn't used to just diving into shit like this. Megan had been doing it for most of her life. Coming home with a few holes in her wasn't new.
So, after making Claudia do her hair and help her pick out a nice skirt, she drove over to Cavan's house. Thank god his family seemed to be gone. When the vampire opened the door, the necromancer stepped forward and pulled him into a kiss.
It was short but she meant it. When Megan pulled away, she glanced away. “... Sorry for bein' crazy. Not used to bein' accountable to someone.”
They had certainly forgiven each other by that night.
“... Hey Cav? You think if you hadn't become a vampire, you wouldn't have met me?”
Megan was wondering aloud, as she watched him with their baby. Adam cooed and stared at his mother with those inquisitive green eyes. Cavan looked up in surprise, but Megan honestly didn't need an answer. War was happening when he was a young man, Cavan would've been in it. And Megan loved him but she doubted he would've survived that.
For years, decades, Megan had wondered if anything could would've come from getting in Michael's car that night. For that time she figured it was the good work she did. But perhaps, if a bargain had never been made... she never would've met Cavan. And look at them now. They were a family. Granted, unconventional and her father almost seemed to die all over again when he learned his baby girl was having a child out of wedlock. But even though she would've preferred the beginning to be a little different... she didn't regret becoming who she was.
“... Nevermind. Stupid question.” She took Adam from Cavan's arms, bouncing him up and down. The baby squealed and grinned, revealing pointy fangs. She pecked Cavan's cheek and smoothed her baby's curls.
