The last time they felt this awkward was at some random bar association event they had been invited to as a 2L, where the invite was cursory, but attendance was expected without actually caring to have more than a two-minute conversation with them. Riley distinctly felt like they had made a wrong turn somewhere and they weren't supposed to be here.

It probably should've been alarming how many faces they recognized just from around the city, politicians and business people and law enforcement who had their finger on the pulse of the city, but it wasn't all that surprising. It's not hard to spot Remi's broad back a little ways away. Finally, someone familiar. Riley squeezes through the crowd, trying to catch up to the other wolf, but they are swallowed up by a group of Kanoute vampires. "Damn," they mutter, turning to see the vampire that Remi had been talking to. "You know if they're coming back or should I try and chase them down again?" / @bloodshcd

   Or her way of saying ‘we should turn around’. The aura    here just doesn’t feel right & she is positive that is BONES    littering the ground below. Let them ignore all of the that    right? Because it was important to go in there or something.    She didn’t much know. No - Sera had long blocked that out.    Going on missions was g r e a t!
