oh, anon. oh, anon. you’ve just made my night. 

for those who don’t know, blork is blink and york (akb’s brooklyn newsie who wears an eyepatch and got cut from the show.) and is featured in my fic, return to mountain ridge. 

first let’s talk eyes. blink is blind in one eye but has severe light sensitivity in that eye, so he wears a patch. york had to have eye surgery as a kid and one got infected and had to be removed. he has a glass eye now but finds that people stare too much because theyre trying to figure out what’s Off about his eyes. he prefers to wear a patch because people see it, accept it, and move on.

neither of them really tell people what’s really up with their eyes. blink likes to make up ridiculous stories and york doesnt like to talk about himself. 

when they first met, there was sort of a “same hat” moment. they felt an immediate kinship with each other.

theyre both english majors. no, neither of them know what they want to do with their degrees. theyve both read a lot, but york has a gift for memorizing quotes. he drops random quotes all the time for blink to try to guess the author.

they both have very sarcastic senses of humor. york’s got a morbid streak and blink likes a nice Dark joke. their jokes tend to scare other people off, but not each other. sometimes they have to remind each other to back off of the edgelord shit.

blink tends to be the life (and host) of the party, but york is reserved. being around blink can be exhausting for york, but they know the deal. sometimes york just needs to go sit by himself for a while.

york is an incredibly picky eater, but blink will happily eat anything.

i know theres more to their relationship, but those are just some that i came up with off the top of my head. if anyone has any other questions about blork (the best ship name) lmk

For a moment when Clarke woke up I hoped it was Bellamy who woke her up to talk alone and say something like " I decided I can't wait that many years to tell you how ardently I love and admire you" like some kind of space Darcy.

And they'd have a great confession scene with Clarke's lips trembling and Bellamy crying but then they'd notice Echo sleeping beside them and Clarke would be like "we can float her if you want" and grin a little.

Bellamy would shake his head and say "no" guiltily so Clarke would give him a reassuring smile and say "just kidding" but when Bellamy turned to leave she would say "totally not kidding" under her breath. That's my season 5 ending.

I’ve been learning Python with some mates. I made some text-adventure template code (demo’d here with nonsensical filler). Now I just need to actually write a story...?

# Each ‘page’ in the ‘choose-your-own-adventure book’ is a list which includes some story text, two options and two ‘page-destinations’. The ‘book’ then, is a list of those lists, accessed with a global ‘current page’ variable. A generic function is defined that pulls data from the ‘current page’ list, prints the story text and options, updates the ‘current page’ to the relevant ‘page-destination’ based on the user choice, then runs itself again (with some extra elif/else for quitting and if the user decides to type random keys). All up only 25 lines of code (though each ‘page’ added is another line).
