i do think thornclaw and blossomfall’s whole thing was some daddy kink stuff tbh. or like. secretary (2002). there’s just no way that that’s a normal relationship. those two are horny and weird about it and it’s everyone in thunderclan’s problem.

It's funny because to me the canon ThornBlossom has this energy:

"Hey." "Hey." "Do you want to have kits?" "You mean with you?" "Yeah." "Okay, sure."

That or the two of them were gossip buddies for so long that it turned steamy.

But I certainly think there's an obvious path to make it a "daddy" thing for Blossomfall: Thornclaw is from the old forest himself and Blossomfall's actual father is Graystripe for StarClan's sake.

I do love a world where they are insufferable when they first get together. Like they're constantly all over each other in public and always making either sickeningly cutesy or just wildly horny comments to each other on patrols. Blossomfall waiting for anyone to complain about their mate so she can gloat about how being with a mature senior tom means she doesn't have those problems. Thornclaw boasting about how he got a hot young girlfriend: "young toms today need to stop all this gallivanting about and just focus on your warrior duties, that's how I did it!"

Blossomfall got some kits from Thornclaw by convincing him that dating and mating were different types of patrols. When she wanted to hook up with him she had to go through a whole song and dance of like "Hey Thornclaw, Squirrelflight said we can go on, uh, kit-making patrol today!" and Thornclaw's like "okay but we ARE going to check the border markers by WindClan too."

When asked if he and Blossomfall are a couple, Thornclaw invariably responds, "A couple of what?"

You know, one other reason why Blossomfall might've been down for some Thornclaw action: all those patrols must leave a tom with some incredible stamina.

Any thoughts on the somehow cannon Blossomthorn? Seems like an interesting dynamic, both were in the DF so I imagine there is some camaraderie of that

I imagine that Thornclaw really wanted to sire some kits before retiring because it was the last thing on his checklist of things that warriors do that he hadn't done yet. I picture him being kind of awkwardly formal in his "courting" of her because he's an old-fashioned Old Forest cat.

On Blossomfall's side I think it was more of an opportunistic thing. Like she was feeling like it was a good time for her to have a litter, and an eligible senior warrior bachelor came sniffing around. In an objective sense, Thornclaw probably rates as a quality mate: well-respected, hard worker, senior warrior.

Perhaps their shared experience in the Dark Forest let them bond a bit, and I imagine they like to gossip together because they both seem like the type to. They also both have a fierce side, which I think could let them challenge each other (and makes the act of mating vigorous and passionate). But by and large I think of it as more of a pragmatic pairing of circumstance rather than a true romantic relationship.

Honestly, I love the concept of BlossomThorn

They remind me of Jay and Gloria from Modern family. I loveeee Jay and Gloria they’re so cute together and it breaks the mold of younger woman being with a rich old man=gold digger which Gloria is not

I love to compare the two but BlossomThorn is the most background couple ever so what I love about them is the potential they had as two consenting adults who happen to have a age gap similar to Jay and Gloria

Thinking about how Blossomfall (born in PoT Book 4) was really living the Daddy dream getting with Thornclaw (born in Into the Wild). When your father is Graystripe you must have some daddy issues right?
