placeholder rn bc at some point i want to talk ab how much i like this page and what it says abt their personalities and how they exist within this dynamic , but i have neither the time nor words rn >_< . ughhg i just lovee love love that yotasuke isnt one for false platitudes .. he doesnt concern himself w assurance in the typical sense / the kind of meaningless yes-manning that serves as a detriment to the development of yatoras character (smth smth chapter 1 these feelings arent my own -> mirrors everyone around him). and while that was initially a source of tension for them (the bluntness with which he speaks), its grown to be its own comfort. i like the efficacy of his statements & how straightforward they are .. the question of whether or not theyd remain friends is irrelevant, both bc it’s redundant when faced with the fact that their relationship has always persisted despite their ups and downs (and an outside relationship wouldnt threaten that), but also because yatora IS an overthinker (thank you yotasuke) and needs to be warned against forming his yet unrefined sense of self against some hypothetical situation that exists w/i the vacuum of his mind , absent of any real-world nuance or complexity. yatoras emotions are the vehicle of blp’s narrative, so i can appreciate the chapters where yotasuke can balance out his more impulsive or irrational thoughts and give us pause . not to say yotasuke doesnt suffer from these things himself (points 2 his misjudgement of how he felt about the okamoto situation), but that they counteract each other rly well in times like this.

& i mean. a lot of characters are insightful about yatoras personality in different and equally meaningful ways, but theirs remains 2 be one of my favorites . anyways . the switch scene @ the end came through frl
