With TSSZ gone, have you considered reaching out to Sonic Stadium, Sonic Retro, or SEGABits and possibly writing for them? I'm sure they'd love to have you.
Thing is, TSSZ was a paid writing gig. Not as much as writing for a big site, but an amount greater than zero dollars, plus I was given games to review -- meaning I did not have to buy them myself. It was a real job.
Those other places are probably volunteer-only. Meaning the only “payment” I get is in knowing people are reading my writing and the satisfaction of a job well done. Which... I’m sure those sites have particularly nice reader bases (especially Stadium and SegaBits)... but I also just have my own site I can write for if I want to write “for free.” I’ve even paid up on the URL through I think 2023?

SFGHQ has reached out to pay me for some writing, but that’s contingent on me thinking of something that fits what they’re looking for.
And if we’re being honest... it’s been hard to stay focused on any one thing for too long as of late, given the state of... pretty much everything in the world right now. I had big plans to start publishing my archival TSSZ reviews on bltn.net, but I just haven’t had the energy to do that. There’s also more I want to figure out than just entering them in to the site as it currently stands, and there’s a lot of considerations I have to make there, like possibly even moving it off Tumblr entirely. It would be nice to have more image formatting options than just “you embed a single, tiny thumbnail.”
So I spin my wheels and hope I get struck by inspiration.
