Taraesa // The Land of Blue Loughs

 Bio:  Taraesa is the only child of King Justane V and Fabiola of Maron. The couple was older when Taraesa was born, Justinian being in his sixties and Fabiola in her late thirties.The king died when Taraesa was only three years old, making her the undisputed queen of Blauensee. Fabiola served as Dowager Regent until Taraesa was coronated at 10 years old. Fabiola still holds the title, but it's purely ceremonial. Taraesa was a shy girl for most of her upbringing, sheltered away in her palaces. In 1014 when Taraesa was 19 years old, she was betrothed to Ronan Donnchadh, Prince of Vugge. Though initially intimidated by her match, Ronan quickly proved to be the Queen's biggest supporter and encouraged her to take on a more active role in her government. With the fall of Gloriaterra, Taraesa made herself known for being the forerunner of  activism, with taking in refugees and allowing asylum to anyone crossing her borders. Though a noble act in theory, she is taking risks with her country's resources that no other monarch has dared yet. She and Ronan were not married until the end of 1014. She has publicly criticized King Max of Kakos for his involvement in the spuma trade. It is evident that the shy child-queen is shy no longer and strives to make herself known on the global map.

Ronan // The Land of Blue Lakes

 Bio:  Ronan never entertained the idea of him being royalty on the same scale as other princes and princesses in the world. He was never called 'prince' until the death of his uncle, King Tristan, and the crowning of his brother, Brogan. He lived a simple life near the sea, of hunting and warrior training. He knew nothing of wealth beyond the cold stone of his family's small keep. He knew his blood status made him special, in a sense, and when it was decided that he was to be Prince-Consort to Taraesa of Blaunsee to the south, he did not object much. A wild boy, with flame-red hair, dirt on his skin, and axes hanging from his belt, he knew nothing of how to be a proper Prince. But Ronan was a prince determined to try because Vugge warriors never aimed to fail at anything. He cut his hair, improved his speech, traded his axes (well some of them) for fine clothes and became the very opposite of everything he ever was. Though it was not easy to adjust to the cold-damp court of Blaunsee (both culturally as well as those who waited for his failure), his infatuation with Taraesa was evident immediately. Ronan did not completely shed his Vugge ways entirely though, he's just a bit more tamed.
