It doesn’t make me feel good to know that other people hurt. It doesn’t make me feel better to know that we’re the only ones that suffer. But it does make me realize just how temporary this life really is.

Words cannot express what an honor it is to call Ben's mom, Mindy, a sister in Christ. We feel such love and respect for this family as they live out their lives as disciples of Christ for all of the world to see.

Just watched the Ben Sauer funeral service

I never met him, but I was in tears as soon as I saw his casket. It is so depressing to see the casket of a child.  Ben was five years old and passed away this week after losing his battle with cancer. He made such an impact on the area where I used to live in the past 4 months that most people do in their entire lives.

My prayers are with his family, I hope he helps them to heal and help his twin brother and little sister remember their brother fondly. Reading his mothers blog that she wrote while Ben was ill is so inspiring.

 Heaven has gained another Angel.

Today we say goodbye to Ben Sauer, a young boy who was taken from us too soon.  Thank you to everyone who showed support through out his battle with cancer, and especially to those who participated in the Blue4Ben movement.  Let us take this sadness as a lesson, and live life to the fullest, for those who are not given the privilege to do so.  Let us also learn from his bravery, for he fought valiantly until the very end.  And finally, let us rest easily, knowing that he is at peace.

everybody seems to be going blue 4 ben today and it just brings tears to my eyes

I actually just spent the last twenty minutes SOBBING while reading about Ben Sauer's death. Absolutely heartbreaking story I heard about yesterday and here I am today reading about his death. The little boy I hardly knew for even day had me breaking down every paragraph. Sad tears and happy tears. I've been deeply touched by this family's strength in such hardship. I'm just holding on to hope in the resurrection for little Ben.
