Alfred was still shaky. He groaned, retracting his arm from Arthur’s shoulder and hiding his face in his hands. “I just think with my new job and everything we might be able to afford buying a new house, and live together, and stay together…”

Arthur stared at the other for a moment before his face melted into a smile. He pulled Alfred's hands away from his face so he could look him in the eye. "I think.. I think that sounds wonderful, Alfred.." He murmured before softly pressing his lips against the other's.

Alfred’s nervousness only heightened when Arthur wrapped his arm around him too. He fidgeted, yanking the grass next to him from the ground. Glancing at Arthur, perfectly content at his shoulder, he wondered if now was the perfect time.

Arthur watched the other, not realizing his nervousness. Sure, he was nervous too, but not as nervous as Alfred was. He relaxed against the other, feeling very happy.

Alfred, being the brilliant actor he was, squeezed back and flashed his pearly whites. “Nothing, doll-face.” He winked. “Hey, can we go somewhere? I feel like doing something special today. Like, no restaurants or stuff. How about it?”

Arthur couldn't help but smile back at the other. "Alright, if you say so.." He replied, chuckling slightly. "Go out? Sure, sounds like fun. What did you have in mind then?" He gave Alfred a questioning look, smiling more at the prospect of a date.

bluebellsky replied to your post: Alfred rapped on Arthur’s door eagerly. He was filled to the brim with his excitement and was ready to pop and burst into millions of pieces of confetti. He couldn’t wait to tell Arthur! He couldn’t wait to see his face, couldn’t wait to see the happiness bloom across his cheeks, couldn’t wait for Arthur to throw himself into Alfred’s arms with his pride long thrown out the window. His hands trembled and his lips hurt from stretching so much.

Alfred eagerly followed Arthur in, his steps jittery. His smile was beaming and he felt that he was radiating his excitement. “I got the job, Arthur! I made it!” Alfred gripped Arthur by the shoulders and spun him. “You know what this means, right?”

Arthur closed the door behind the other, turning to look at him. He blinked as he was grabbed, crying out in surprise when Alfred spun him around. Once the dizziness wore off, he smiled widely at the other. "That's great, I'm happy for you." He stared in confusion at his next words. "Uh.. You'll actually be making some money?"
