Plot twist: Ichigo can use Quincy powers, but only when his soul is in his human body. Kon becomes relevant again because of this.

Plot twist: Aizen actually always had normal Captain-level spiritual pressure and Kyoka Suigetsu actually has a much more pronounced weakness that balances his power out. He just used his hogyoku to change this. Now that he doesn't have it, he is a normal soul reaper.
