In Hatsumode, you'll encounter yokai roving throughout Japan. All of our yokai artwork was taken from the "Illustrated Demon Horde" books by Toriyama Sekien in the late 1700s, which have been a big source for yokai artwork for over 200 years.

Faithful Fools, we have just reached the 7th anniversary of Blue Fool Games, and it's time for things to change. As of Monday, November 1st, we are now an officially incorporated business, Blue Fool Games LLC, complete with a bank account, an operating agreement, and an EIN. We are now a full-fledged, licensed business, and this has been done for one reason.

After years of designing games and working with publishers, I am starting the process of (possibly) running my own Kickstarter to publish my Japanese-themed game, Hatsumode. It has gotten lots of playtesting, pitched to several publishers, and the feedback I've gotten is that it's almost publishable as is. So I'm researching the steps needed to do this myself. I'm not 100% convinced yet, but I'm going through the motions to get it started.

What I need from everyone now is support and publicity, none of which costs you anything. I need to increase my followers, and get people interested in my company and my game. I also need help with final feedback (game, rules, artwork, etc.), so that I can polish Hatsumode up to be a real product that people will actually want to buy and play. Please, follow my social media anywhere you can find it, and share it with others.

I want to thank all of you for going on this ride with me. If everything goes well, there might be a Kickstarter campaign in six months. Even if that doesn't happen, I'm at least working towards improving my company, my game, and myself.
