YES. oh my gosh. i’m having trouble putting into words my feelings about this, but the fact that yakuma was there first and the one to catch him was SO. GOOD. and so important for their relationship.
like... utsuho is shit at dealing with his feelings, so he picks on yakuma a lot because he’s so honest. so it’s kind of hard to tell that utsuho cares because he’s so obnoxious to him lol but the fact that he’s always giving yakuma attention is kind of like? his weird way of attempting to express his affection? and yakuma knows that utsuho’s a good person despite all of his antics, so he has this sort of special unwavering loyalty that’s really unique in this group of damaged liars. no one else is dedicated to him like that.
their relationship is just... different from the others? and i think the group recognized that if anyone was gonna talk sense into him and be like, “hey, dumbass, we love you,” and really get through to him, it would be yakumom lol. their bond is really understated but it was so nice to see them kind of reaffirm their friendship like this.
