Hi gina, I’m a baby larrie and i am just curious about “bluegreening”; I’ve seen it mentioned in passing at times as a significant thing but i don’t know how it started and gained its significance?
Hi, darling. "Bluegreening" is a fairly new term, and, at least in my experience, is something that's now looked at with derision. Blue and Green have been associated with Larry from way back when (based on their mic colors when they were in the band, likely based on their eye colors). People often use the blue and green heart emojis when talking about Larry.
At some point over the last 5 years or so (probably during Covid when there were huge swaths of new larries finding the fandom and as the TikTok fandom emerged), there was a shift in the energy, and we got these subgroups of "larries" who believed Louis was a dad or that Harry and Louis were dating their beards/PR relationships, and then "no-stunt larries" emerged in response to that. IIRC, "bluegreening" was a term people began to use for larries who were leaving blue and green hearts on posts and commenting about Larry everywhere. TBH, because I mainly stay on Tumblr, I'm not quite sure where it was all happening and what started it, but people began to call out "bluegreeners" as a particular type of larrie who was really over the top and annoying.
