A knock at the door, Black Star didn’t know who was home, but he did see a light. And considering the lack of music vaguely playing in the background, the Bushin assumed Soul wasn’t home. Though it was late, and at a slightly odd hour, Star hoped that the only resident within the household was willing to open. That person, he imagined to be Maka. Which wasn’t what he had planned originally. But for now, anything was better than staying in his place.
Maka was enthralled by a new book she had purchased earlier in the day. Hearing the knock, she was startled back into reality. Who could it be at this hour? Neither she nor Soul had wanted to cook that night, so Soul agreed to run down the street for takeout. With a heavy sigh, she put her book down. "Soul, I swear if you forgot your key again---" She muttered under her breath, standing from her spot on the sofa. "This will be the second time this month---" With a quick movement, she unlocked the door, and threw it open, ready to yell at Soul. Almost immediately, she realized it wasn't Soul on the other side of the door, but rather Black Star. It was unusual for him to vist without Soul present. "Oh, Black Star. Sorry, I thought you were Soul. Are you alright? It's kind of late to be out isn't it?
