it all started when she invited tenten out for drinks. she was bored, and by herself, and she just so happened to see the brunette walk in. so of course she was quick to wave her over, and of course they talked each other’s heads off. it was everything ino needed. adjusting to a post-war konoha didn’t come without its obstacles, despite her home thriving and rising quite literally from its ashes. just because there was no war now, that didn’t mean that something else wasn't coming. so…it made ino a little more anxious. these days, anyway.

Sakura should have known that Naruto taking an interest in seals would lead to disaster. In hindsight, maybe she should have looked to see if the piece of paper she’d pressed a chakra-laden finger to was the explosive seal or the slightly smudged miniature storage seal containing all of her shinobi registration documents.
