N, U, V, Y!

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

Mmm I’m gonna go with Ace Attorney because that’s what I’m in right now.

1. More Apollo being treated with nuance? And like... treated as an adult? I really like Apollo Justice as a character, and I think a lot of the fandom tends to look at the moments when he gets flustered and think that’s all the character is - but Apollo is usually pretty cool under pressure and also a very sarcastic and conscientious adult man? Not a flustered teenager? IDK I feel like Apollo gets done dirty by a lot of the fandom... in his game he’s consistently more sarcastic and aware than Phoenix was in his games, but it seems like everyone treats him like a little kid... (i think a lot of that is dual destinies’ fault...)

2. MORE KLAVIER GAVIN & SIMON BLACKQUILL FRIENDSHIP STUFF. there’s like three whole fics on AO3 where the premise is that Klavier and Simon are friends and IDK I just really want to see them interact I think they would be a really great sort of odd couple pairing, like Klavier is possibly the lightest and fluffiest prosecutor and Simon is the darkest of the ones who aren’t just flat out evil, and I like the contrast, i think they would be good friends

3. more krisnix/kriswright content please it’s such a good ship i want more

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Miles Edgeworth - sad, stoic dark character with a tragic backstory who acts like a huge jerk until he has a eureka moment and who also has a deep friendship/romantic relationship with the main character and eventually becomes a good friend and ally in the fight for justice

Zuko - sad, angry dark character with a tragic backstory who acts like a huge jerk but develops into a good guy due to his deep connections to good characters and innate moral sense and has possibly the best redemption story out of any character ever in the history of fiction

Sam Vimes - angry, dark character with a semi-tragic backstory who acts like a huge jerk but actually has a deep sense of innate justice and pulls himself out of the gutter to become a paragon of virtue in a world that is supremely corrupt... hey wait a second......

V - Which character do you relate to most?

oh gees....... uh honestly probably either dave or dirk strider? like, out of all the characters which i like/project onto most, i think it’s the strider boys? which uh......... probably says some not-so-great things about my mental health......... 

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

oh definitely Overwatch and Dragon Age. I don’t know much about either game(/game franchise???), but I can recognize at least half the characters and there are certain ships that i’m like “Oh yes, I like this ship..... I don’t remember the characters names, but I remember that so-and-so makes really pretty/funny art of this ship”

Gunnora spent most her her childhood wandering the streets of the lower city slums and was in fact an honorary member of several urchin gangs.

the street fight she busted her bottom lip at involved some older kids bullying a younger girl. gunnora hauled off and hit a kid because they were being an asshole and it turned into a brawl. however, it was neither her first nor her last street fight.

Hollow Knight askmeme: 1, 6, 11, 13, 15!

1. Favorite character?

this may be weird, but it's probably a tie between The Knight and the Hollow Knight! two innocent children emotionally and physically abused by their father, but willingly choosing to suffer to protect others from harm... hmm yes i see i continue to be EXTREMELY on-brand

(also just. the little details about gameplay that tell you SO MUCH about the knight as a person/character and how your own experience with the game changes how you view them... uwu)

6. Favorite boss battle?

probably Hornet (Greenpath), although I do enjoy the Mantis Lords as well.

11. Favorite area?

oooof, tough choice! i probably have to go with greenpath. it's SO pretty, and i think it probably has my favorite gameplay - the acid and thorns were scary the first time around but relatively easy once you get the hang of it, and it has a lot of great enemies

also lake of unn and the moss knight at the lake , who is my blorbo.

the only bad thing about greenpath is that i find it very difficult to differentiate, visually/thematically, from the fungal wastes. they have just enough stuff in common that i struggle sometimes to remember where i am on the map.

13. Favorite part of the sound track?

"City of Tears" is incredible, I love it so much. "Broken Vessel" is a close second, with incredibly different vibes lmao.

15. Favorite charm/charm combo?

GRUBSONG MY BELOVED, YOU HAVE SAVED MY ASS A THOUSAND TIMES.
