Love yourself first🦋 I attended an event yesterday that really brought things back around for me. If you caught my stories, you may have seen me at @wellfitsocial with @kristencrowleytv . ➕I had originally met her at @theannexvb and offered my art for her swag bags. I didn’t know much about her event at the time. I was going off of pure energy and calling as I usually do (and I’m so grateful I did!). ➕The Journey. Many of you might not know my fitness journey because I mainly share art on here. But I struggled with weight my entire life. In my 20s, I lost over 110lbs by working out diligently 6 days/week and eventually even did a figure show (yes- stretch marks and all)! I delved heavily into body building, and loving my self. And kept the weight off for over 10 years. It wasn’t until I lost my thyroid to cancer (actually right around this time in 2012) I gained 50lbs in 1 month. After cancer my health took a steep nosedive for the next 2-4 years and the weight has been steady. ➕I’ve learned to love what I once loathed. The folds are still me and I love all of me. And I talk to every single part of my body and tell it it’s important. Even the rollie pollie parts! So if you’re not already kind to yourself, start today. There’s enough hate out in the world. We need more love. And love starts with loving ourselves. ➕One good exercise I like are cheerleading statements! I have a sticky note by my mirror that says I AM I CAN I WILL So what I do is finish the sentence. Now it’s your turn.
