Yesterday morning I was awoken to the sound of a blue tit pecking on the window next to my son's bed. When I opened the window I was surprised that it flew inside. It lives in the roof where it had been raising chicks with it's partner. I was baffled by the strange behaviour all morning until observing the pair while eating lunch, I saw them trying to stuff worms through the cracks in the tiles of my roof and realised that their chicks had fallen from the nest and into my attic. I climbed up and managed to rescue three of them and put them back in their nest at which point the parents immediately started feeding them again. If I had the gift of Sigurd I would have known what the little bird was trying to say in the morning! The chicks are actually fledglings and I'm nearly ready to leave the nest anyway but they must exit into the garden and not into my attic. #bluetitfledgling #bluetit #bluetitchicks https://www.instagram.com/p/CAH2C6RAYC-/?igshid=1b7xhlolllcek
