There is a sigh to follow suit, staccato in breath and a grunt that radiates pain is hinted in his tone as a shift that sounds as if readjustment was being made. Silence follows suit, though it is a reign that lingers for no longer than a few seconds. "It seems that you are busy with something once again with matters that.. I can only imagine. I hope you are safe and unharmed though, despite you telling me that you can take care of yourself.."
"I will not be able to come home today.. Or rather, ever again." Regret nearly drenched those ending words, cut by a shuddering sigh that falls to a burning hiss and another shuffle. "I don't have time to explain... and you must be angry right now to even hear this.."
A cough, though it's muffled.
"Please be careful.. Watch over yourself and try to be more.. attentive of your surroundings. There are dangerous people here, Sly.. And I'm sorry I cannot keep you safe anymore. But please know that I care for you very much.. I love you and I will keep doing so beyond this life.."
It's spoken in a solemn tone though it falls to agony once more.
"Be safe...Goodbye.."
