Far Too Young To Die || Hunger Games AU || @blurriisms

It didn’t matter what walk of life you came from, if you were in the right age range, you could be reaped. The Reaping was always the worst nightmare of any parent, no matter who they were. This much was true for Tony Stark. Every year he feared for the lives of his children Jarvis and Alumina, but Alumina in particular. She had just turned 16 and was still in the running for the Hunger Games for two more years. Jarvis had turned 19 that year and Tony, being the richest man in District 3, had thrown a big party celebrating Jarvis’s survival. However, Tony had another big reason to worry about Alumina: she had inherited her mother’s genetic defect. Alumina’s hair and eyes were both a powerful glowing blue that glowed brighter or dimmer based on her emotions. She had a power inside her that was incredibly volatile and if she was Reaped for the Games, it would make her an insanely easy target.
So when the Capitol representative for District 3, Daenerys Targaryen, called out Alumina’s name, Tony felt his heart sink. He watched in absolute horror as his only daughter, his beautiful girl that looked so much like her mother, walked up on the stage. Her glow was impossibly dim, making her look like just a girl with blue hair and Tony felt like he was going to throw up. Alumina’s male counterpart was just a little boy, a barely 13 year old named Vision, didn’t look scared at all. It was almost as if he wanted to be Reaped.
Tony sobbed hard when he and Jarvis met with Alumina one last time. She promised them she would try her best to win, do whatever it took to stay alive. And just as soon as they came in the room, they were yanked out. Daenerys returned and took both Alumina and Vision to the train to the Capitol. It was on the train they met with their Mentor, Ultron. Ultron was a complete and utter asshole who won his games by killing everyone he came across. He didn’t even need survival skills, he just slaughtered everyone in sight. So it wasn’t a surprise to Alumina when Ultron’s main advice was find a weapon and learn how to use it.
The trip to the Capitol wasn’t that long, seeing how 3 was relatively close to the Capitol itself. Alumina wasn’t very surprised by the glitz and glamour either since she often saw Capitol representatives interacting with her father. The stylists had an absolute field day with her when they saw her glow, styling her like an absolute goddess. They said that her and Vision’s appeal were their strength and power. That was how they were designed for the Chariot Ride in the opening ceremonies. Alumina’s glow was magnified by her clothes; a beautiful silver dress and clunky metal jewelry made out of technology. She didn’t really interact with Vision much on the Chariot Ride nor after it. However, it was only after it that she noticed another tribute. A young boy with white hair, about her age, stepping out of his chariot and looking at her.
“Who’s that?” She asked the girl tribute from District 10.
“That’s Pietro Maximoff, the tribute from 12.” The girl replied simply. Alumina looked him up and down before smiling lightly at him.
She wasn’t able to interact with him again until the Interviews.
She walked down the hallway to where the other Tributes were, wearing a long flowing sky blue gown that matched her hair, spotting him leaning against the wall.
“Hey. You’re Pietro right?” Alumina asked, giving him a small smile, “You’re from 12?”
