I’m about to sleep but here are some things on BM2 or BM in general that keep me up at night, enjoy! ☺️
“Do they feel it too? The others! I see them! They feel the pain too don’t they?” I wonder if this is him assuming they can also feel as he feels, or if he’s referring to others through the program though he does mention “their amusement” right after.
“Made me think that…(sniff) someone ACTUALLY fucking loved me for once in my life?” (I don’t do swear words but for the direct line of the game ) what do you mean actually loved you for once? A nod to a backstory we have yet to be shown? Horribly family? Peers? I really want to know if this is why he’s such a pushover, because he wants to please people, because he wants to be loved, I hope the third game gives us some backstory on him. Or even the ability to show him love (he’s not dead, he not dead, he not, I’m not coping, he just needs to be given love before he dies) Secret Harvey line: “Choi Eun-mi is a monster” He says CHOI EUN-Mi, not Eun-mi Harvington, he does not see her as his wife, he says her name how they do when it comes to introducing one in Korean aswell, last name and then first name. It may seem random but I really liked this detail
*This was all just supposed to be a quick way to make some cash, to escape the debt, the life that you and your son have been leading* Harvey was part of the family, so for him not being mentioned is probably in relation to him “deleting” himself, I’m still on the bandwagon that Eun-mi did love Harvey but greed got to her, so I don’t believe the reason why he’s not mentioned is because Eun-mi wanted him gone or something. I mean come on guys she was horrified when Harvey tried deleting himself and when he was obviously decaying, if she was in it for the money and solely that she would have NOT reacted that way.
“THATS BULLSHIT! I- You…Babe I’m scared. I’m so, so, scared. And I can’t take anymore. I want out.” He’s holding on to hope that Eun-mi is helping him despite the doubts, and holy moly that voice acting was brutal, he claims he remembers dying and even so is trying to believe in Eun-mi, be through coping or false hope. This is the first time he swears and tries to collect himself when he realises, maybe as a comfort for himself but also for his wife.
It’s the way he goes “IM IN HERE! IM IN HERE! IM IN HERE”! To “I’m gonna end this” in the same scene, the chills I got, he sounded like a man who was tortured from the inside out and lost his will, the voice acting was phenomenal and I think I actually cried because of the despair in his voice, why can’t he get his happy ending with his kid? 😭 (BM3 I’m looking at you)
Harvey in the game knows he is in a game, but he also goes through each ending, dies or resets and doesn’t remember when he wakes up from Eun-mi, is a subconscious?
Harvey is canonically buff, he has muscles which can be seen, he does weights in BM2, he has Abs in BM, Eun-mi he’s kind and strong how do you fumble, like I get it desperate times but still URGGHHHHh-
