I wanted to share this very special image by Alice Blangero ♥️ I am there amongst the dancers, but that doesn’t matter. This took place almost 5years ago at les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. Most in the picture have retired. One became a chef, one a trainer, two continued onto choreographic endeavors, and two still dance. They’ve become husbands, wives, fathers.. At the forefront is my handsome husband Bruno 😊 I’m not sure why I felt the need to share, but I guess I was just feeling nostalgic today... When I look back at this picture I feel super grateful. So much has changed and we’ve all changed too. I’ve witnessed them all transition into new walks of life, becoming better versions of themselves. They continue to inspire me greatly♥️ Sometimes life feels like it moves so slowly, but then something pops up in my photos and I’m faced with the reality of time and how it has passed... Anyway, this picture made me smile and have hope. Long time no post! I’ve been home enjoying my down time and happened upon this lost photo that I thought I’d share for #tututuesday This was from my time w/ @lesballetsdemontecarlo when the company celebrated the 100th Anniversary of les Ballets Russes de Monte-Carlo in 2008/2009 season. Company members dawned original costumes from Ballet Russes productions. Though I don’t look it, I was ecstatic to wear this magnificent Firebird costume and have my picture captured in our gorgeous Opéra de Monte Carlo, Salle Garnier ♥️ This was one of two tutus I wore in my 7.5 years at BMC! I realized yesterday that it’s been 10 years since my first experience with Jean-Christophe Maillot’s, Romeo et Juliette ♥️ These pictures are curtesy of @angelasterlingphoto and are from the dress rehearsal before my premiere in 2008. I’m not sure anymore how many times I’ve danced Juliette, but I’d jump at the opportunity to portray this dynamic female many times over. Ten years later and here I am guesting with @lesballetsdemontecarlo in the USA dancing a role that had helped shape my career. The stars always seem to align for me surrounding this ballet & life is beautiful and magical every time I rediscover Juliette & this masterpiece✨ Without a shadow of a doubt #gratitude is the word of the day for me ♥️ #bmcdays #romeoetjuliette (at Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts)
