for the fic writer meme, multiples of 3!
:^)c here we go
3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
pregnancy nty. there are other things that gross me out (some very significantly) but uhh pregnancy and/or genital trauma i cannot do.
6. Share one of your weaknesses.
im bad at finishing things and having the drive to do longer shit... there are 20+ things in my wip folder that i havent finished, some of which will likely never be finished, and i have a list of another 20 or so things that i want to start lmfao//
9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
in relation to #6, anything longer than one chapter is difficult for me to write because its hard to keep up the motivation to Keep Going. its getting a little easier as i get used to writing longer and longer 1 chapter works but still
12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
not sure if “episode” is the right term since i mostly write vg-based stuff... when i used to write for dw it was logopolis, castrovalva, and planet of fire, tho. now its mostly the series as a whole.
15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
most of my fics would be just straight up pornos if they did get filmed lmfao but as for something with a more serious plot (and also porne) an older one but still one i like a lot, brand new day, brave new world
18. Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?
i use an online list to keep track of my general ideas but mostly no, probably to my detriment :^(
21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
it depends on how enthusiastic i am/how long it takes me to write it. fics i spend a long time just getting completed i tend to edit while im writing because i either have to reread them to remember what happened or i reread them to put off writing more... if theyre really short and i write them quick they usually only get 1-2 revisions.
24. Have you ever deleted one of your published fics?
no... even from my 6 year old ff.net acct, even if i think theyre garbage i prefer to keep them up because i know there are definitely fics out there from 4-7 years ago whose authors think are garbage but that mean a lot to me. worst case scenario i’d probably orphan my old stuff instead of deleting it.
27. How do you feel about collaborations?
ID LOVE TO DO ONE BUT IM SHY ABOUT ASKING BASICALLY ANYONE
30. Do you accept prompts?
i love getting them but its a complete crapshoot whether i’ll actually fill them or not :| a lot of prompts ive received are sitting as wips or in my “to do” list haahahaa
33. How do you feel about crack?
it depends on the kind, tbh. back in Ye Olde Fandom Days some of my fave fics were absolutely absurd, but how good they are/how much i enjoy them depends entirely on the fandom and what the type of humor is. as for my own writing, the only dr who fic of mine i still care to look at is absolute crack nonsense
36. Which is your favorite site to post fic?
absolutely ao3 without any real competition. the only other sites ive ever posted fics to are livejournal and ff.net and both of them lack the accessibility, organization, and hyper-specific tagging of ao3
39. Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?
not.... really? most people have been extremely polite even if they dont like the actual content of the fic. the last review i got that could qualify as “rude” also made approximately zero sense and i still have it screencapped to giggle at occasionally
