17 May 2023 | Crown Princess Mary of Denmark holds a frog jumping out of her hands as she takes part in the counting of Denmark's smallest frog in Geding-Kasted Mose near Aarhus The tree frog (Hyla arborea), which is Denmark's smallest frog, lacks places to live and lakes to breed in. Therefore, breeding lakes, rock formations and gravel piles are established, so that the little green amphibian gets better conditions to live and breed in Geding-Kasted Mose near Aarhus. 10 seed hotels have been set up and 16 breeding lakes have been established in Geding-Kasted Mose. At the same time, 300 frogs and 2700 tadpoles have been released in 2022 - and now the number of frogs is being counted to get an overview of the population.
