Boat Race 2015
The Duke’s Head is ready to watch for the 159th year consecutively one of the biggest sport institutions in Britain departs from Putney Bridge.
The Boat Race between Oxford University Boat Club and Cambridge University Boat Club is taking place on April 11th 2015 and we have all our ducks in a row to welcome you and celebrate our favourite day of the year.
Let us tease you just a little bit to get you excited about Boat Race Day and show you why The Duke’s Head is the place to be!
Once the Boat Clubs have departed, whether you’re feeling like enjoying the river view from our terrace or you’re feeling like dancing like nobody’s business, we have four areas for you to choose from and stick around for the day!
Our Coxswain Dining Room will be stripped down for the best views of the start of the race followed by live music until midnight. The Rowing Club once again will have your favourite Boat Race Resident DJs playing from 12pm.
If this is not enough, our Kitchen crew will have ready to take away delicious English food with The Duke’s Head twist.
Fun Fact? Last year we sold 9652 pints; the question here is… can we go further than that? That is up to you!
The countdown is on from the 1st of April. So whatever you are, you know that on April 11th 2015 you will be at The Duke’s Head holding your favourite Young’s Pint and living the most exciting experience of the year with your mates.
Keep an eye on our social media and get ready for the fun!
