When you first met Babe, you we’re both quite shy which made it awkward at first but once you got through this phase everything changed

You’re both happy-go-lucky and when one of you needs positive and good vibes the other is there ready to list off everything they love about them

Speaking of sunshine have you ever heard of this boy?

Don is all full of smiles when you’re around because you are the most amazing best friend

He can be crazy and a tad chaotic at times and sometimes that exactly what you need

You balance each other out because you can calm him down but he can make you crazy

He has you doing things you would’ve never dreamed of doing before you met him because he has brought out a side of you that no one, not even you, knew existed

Don is such a soft boy and he likes the long quiet talks the both of you have after a crazy day and he knows you’ll never judge him on what he says

You are both so goofy together and there are so many inside jokes that no one, not even Babe can understand

When you’re both in the zone you can’t stop laughing together and even when you think you’ve calmed down, one look at each other sets you off again

And you keep adding to the joke which makes you laugh more

If you see something that reminds you of the joke, even if it’s six months later, you laugh as hard as you did the first time

He bursts into your house at the most random of times with the most random questions or ideas and as time goes on you’ve stopped asking him why he was in your house

But then he complains that it’s not the same and he needed to see your reaction and he wanted an honest answer

Ronald Speirs!

You were living in Aldbourne when you met Ronald Speirs. 

Honestly, you and Speirs are quite the odd couple. A lot of the men were confused. I mean you were so soft, sweet, and delicate. If anything, they thought you’d fall for someone like David Webster. 

But you didn’t see Speirs the way the other men saw him. You knew deep down under the rough exterior, he had a heart of gold. 

You corresponded throughout the war through letters. You often included lines from your poetry in your letters, along with pressed flowers from your garden. You wanted to remind him that there was still life and beauty in this war stricken world. 

He kept these letters with him always, alongside a photo of you in an extravagant dress, surrounded by flowers in your garden. He often looked at it during quiet, still moments, silently promising himself that he’d make it back home to you. 

He usually kept this all to himself, but the men knew about you, especially Lipton. On the rare occassion when Speirs would open up, he would talk to Carwood about his talented, beautiful girl back at home. Lip could see the life returning to his eyes whenever he spoke about you and your letters. 

Ron knows your love for decor and the finer things in life, so you know this man would seize every opportunity he can to swipe something nice for you.

In fact, a majority of your home decor is stolen, thanks to him, but you don’t mind. 

Whenever you start crying, it’s like he appears out of thin air. He usually doesn’t say anything, opting to cradle you in his arms and let you cry it out. 

And God help the person that remotely makes one snide comment about your sensitive nature. If they are the person that MADE you cry... oh boy. 

You understood Ron like no other person. He opened up and told you things that he never told anyone before. 

After the war, you and Ron settled into a little house in the English countryside. 

He often took you to the movies. The drive home would always be filled with your thoughts and analysis of the film. He’d listen patiently, never interrupting, always marveling at how thoughtful you were. 

And on nights when the sky was clear, you would lay out in the grass and cuddle up next to him to stargaze, you pointing out constellations to him while he gazed over at you, wondering to himself how lucky he got to be with a woman like you.

As soon as I read ‘backwards snapback’ I seen the baseball scene and I knew you both would be such a cute couple

Buck seems really chill and up for anything and I get the vibe from you too

When you’re both together you vibe in your own little bubble together and you don’t need anyone else

Even if you’re not actually doing an activity together, just sitting in the same room together is enough for the both of you

But I can also see you having a dart board in your house and you both like to chill and play a game or two and of course that leads to you both being competitive

He likes that you’re independent and you can do things by yourself

And he loves that you can help each other out when it comes to diy or fixing things

Like you Buck can be mushy and emotional and he needed to be wrapped up in a blanket and loved

while you don’t talk about your emotions with each other much you have no problem doing it when it’s really needed and the other person is always there to listen

Like if you feel upset over something he said he apologises straight away and he thinks of everything he can do to make it up to you

This fighty man has given you engraved brass knuckles for your birthday but it’s like ‘happy birthday I love you so much from your bestie x’

When he first met you he actually thanked the forces that be because he had finally met someone who just gets him

You and Joe are like the same person and you think the same things at the the same time

You can talk to each other by simple eye contacts or eye rolls

Both such a power friendship and you’re both intimidating to people who don’t know you

But when people actually take the time to listen and get to know you they can you’re both actually completely sweethearts who just like to be left alone together to have fun

You are... quite possibly Luz’s dream s.o.

You met George after he came home from the war. Your sink had been causing trouble for months and it was time to get a handyman. Ofc that handyman happened to be Luz!

By the time he was finished fixing your sink, you two had spent the entire afternoon bantering back and forth, cracking jokes, and laughing until you were in tears. Luz HAD to ask you out.

When you two finally settle into your first house together, you were definitely a tad accident prone. Thankfully you married that handyman, so he’s always right there to fix the damage.

You and George can’t sit still. You two are always on the move! Especially during the summer time! Beach trips, road trips, going to carnivals and riding all the rides at least 3 times, and snuggling into each other as you watch fireworks from the bed of his truck.

Have you seen this man dance? It is a known head cannon that Luz is an awful dancer. No one tells him, not even you. Cause if he’s having fun, your having fun, and no one has the heart to tell you two other wise.

The moment Benny Goodman’s “Sing, Sing, Sing” starts playing, you two hit the dance floor, and everyone around you two knows to move out of the way. Sure you two are ‘dancing’, but it’s actually more of this chaotic display of jumping, twirling, and laughter, with Luz spinning you around the dance floor, making you both very dizzy.

George is already head over heals in love with you, but the moment you start singing, he is putty in your hands. Literally sing him anything.

Whenever your writing, George constantly looking over your shoulder. He loves to watch you write; he’s your #1 fan after all. He’s the first to read every new chapter. He doesn’t offer much constructive critism at all though because everything you write is PERFECTION in his eyes.

He loves how you passionate you are and how you wear your emotions on your sleeve. He never wants to see you upset, and is always always there to wipe your tears away with his thumb and kiss your forehead.

Despite being a happy guy, the war was not kind to George. He often suffers from nightmares and struggles sleeping at night. It’s a usual occurance to wake up to him sitting up in bed, staring straight ahead with tears in his eyes.

You always pull him back down to you, holding him tightly. Some nights, you’d turn on the lamp at your bedside and read out loud to him. You also sing him to sleep. Your voice gives him comfort. It grounds him, reminds him that he is no longer in a cold fox hole in the middle of the Ardennes, but at home, in your safe and warm arms.

Babe Heffron!

You and Babe were both replacements for Easy Company when you first met.

You were very quiet with the guys. You felt very out of place, and it made you nervous. You knew many of the men had been together since Camp Toccoa. Entering as a newbie AND a woman, you dreaded the worst.

Out of all these new guys in your group, you stuck out to Babe. I mean, yeah, you were the only girl out of all these guys. But you were also very quiet, always watching from the background, with a shy smile. That smile spread butterflies to the Philly boy’s tummy.

He approached you while you were sitting at a table in Aldbourne, reading a book you brought from home. You smirked to yourself as you listened to Smokey recite his ‘Night of the Bayonet’ poem to the guys. You glanced up to see the red-headed private staring down at you with a grin on his face.

“Ma’am, is it okay if I sit here with you?”

You warmed up to Babe quickly. Babe essentially took you under his wing, later that night introducing you to Guarnere, Luz, Muck, everyone. You quickly turned from the quiet replacement to a laughing chatterbox by the end of the night.

You and Babe were by far the favorite replacements. No one messed with you guys, cause if they did, they’d get a fist full of Guarnere to the face.

Your relationship grew slowly. You two were constantly together, talking about back home, what you used to do for fun, your families. Every now and then, Babe would surprise you with a flower he picked on the side of the road, little things just to see you smile. You were the prettiest girl he had ever seen. 

Eventually your usual chats turned into awkward flirting - “you look really pretty today. I like your outfit.” “Edward, I’m wearing the same thing as you.” 

Your hands would always brush up against each other as you walked. Which then eventually evolved into Babe holding yours. 

You both knew it was silly to start a relationship during a war of all things, but you two were in it for the long haul. Babe wrote back home to his folks about you, how you were the one, how excited he was for you to meet them. All he wanted was to get you home safely. 

You wrote a lot in Bastogne to take your mind of the freezing temperatures. You avoided writing about the war, instead opting to write short stories from your own imagination. Sometimes you’d ask Babe for ideas, but you always let him be the first to read them. He loved your stories and wanted to show them off to everyone. It wasn’t unsual for Babe to take your notebook over to Muck, Penk, Malark, and Julian and read aloud your work with a proud smile. 

When you discovered that Babe was going to be apart of the patrol in  Haguenau, your heart sank. You hated to admit it, but you were a glass half empty kind of girl, always worrying about the worst case scenario. Babe knew this. As you stared at him with tear filled eyes, he held your hands in his and kissed you gently, promising you that he’d come back safely. When he returned later on, you ran out of the house and into his arms, hugging him tightly. 

Things were looking up for the both of you in Austria. Although the threat of jumping into Japan loomed over everyone’s head, you were trying to stay positive. And so was Babe. Speirs was starting to rub off on Babe just a little bit, because he managed to swipe nail polish and any books he could find for you. 

He’d sit and watch you paint your nails, occasionally scaring you to see if you’d mess up. You’d always shoot him a glare, threatening to paint his fingernails if he didn’t knock it off. 

After the war, Babe was quick to take you to Philadelphia to meet his family. Watching you sit in his parents’ kitchen at the table with his mother, drinking tea while flipping through photo albums, he remembered that day in Aldbourne when he talked to the quiet replacement sitting by herself. 

Watching you laugh as his mother told stories of baby Edward, he held on to the engagement ring hiding in his pants pocket. This was just the beginning of your new life together.

Lewis Nixon!

Growing up, you and Lewis Nixon did NOT get along. Unfortunately, you were next door neighbors, your bedroom window faced his, and your families were always together. 

You both hailed from wealthy families; Lew’s father was the owner of Nixon Nitration Works and your mother was a renowned fashion designer. 

At every family party, young Nix would always find a way to pester you the whole night. While you were outspoken in school, Nix would sit in the back of the class and make sarcastic remarks about you. When you would be at your desk, designing dresses in your sketch book, tennis balls would be pelted at your window. Furiously, you’d rip open your window, scowling at a snickering Nixon holding a tennis racket. “I’m sorry, did I disturb you, your highness?” “Screw you, Lewis Nixon”

From a young age, Nix was avoiding feelings. Lewis didn’t hate you in the slightest - he was smitten. Honestly, he was a little intimidated by you. You were incredibly intelligent, popular and loved by everyone, already stepping your foot into the fashion industry at a young age, and have seen a large portion of the world already. You were very much out of his league, and he was very aware of this. 

You didn’t hate him either. Yeah, some days you hated his cocky attitude, but on days when he wasn’t acting like an ass, you believed you might actually like him.

Sometimes late at night, when you could see that he was still awake, you’d turn on the light and open your bedroom window to talk. The distance between your houses was short, so you didn’t have to shout to him. These were the nights you’d open up to each other, about how badly you wanted to see more of the world, how he couldn’t stand his old man, that you felt held back in the shadow of your mom’s reputation. 

When war broke out, you and Nixon both decided to join the war effort. While Lew joined the Paratroopers, you left home to much of your parents’ dismay to become an aircraft mechanic. Although you were a little worried for Nix, you knew he was smart. You knew he’d make it back. But you refused to let him leave before he was honest with you about his feelings. 

You knew, you just knew that there was something between the two of you - there was simply no denying it. As he thew his stuff in the car, about to leave for the train station, you ran after him, and without a word kissed him. It may have initially taken him off guard, but he quickly wrapped his arms around you, kissing you back. He smirked as you pulled away. “I shoulda known you were soft for me.” “Shut up.” 

Work as an aircraft mechanic was hard, but you found it liberating at the same time. Working long shifts wearing your own version of 1940s mom jeans, hair pinned up, and a streak of grease across your forehead, you promised yourself that you were going to live an extraordinary life. And you wrote about this life whenever you could to Nixon. 

Nix would try to describe the better parts of Europe he’d see to you in his letters, especially Austria. At the Eagle’s Nest, he’d swipe whatever he’d think you’d like to take back home. The guys were very confused at the sight of Nix stealing curtains and table cloths, but he’d smile and state proudly that his girl back at home was the best damn fashion designer in the world. He’d figure you would be able to make them into a dress or something nice. 

After the war ended, you and Nixon abandoned the normal idea of settling down and raising a family. Instead, you adopted an adorable dog (or two... or three... you and Nixon could never say no to adding to your little family) and traveled all over the world together. Your own fashion line was taking off, and Lew couldn’t have been more proud. 

You spent your days wandering the streets of whatever country you were in at the time together. You insisted you had to shop in every store you’d see, and honestly Lewis didn’t have it in him to say no to you. He’d buy you the world if you wanted. 

And most nights, you dance quietly together under the stars, Ella Fitzgerald’s “Dream a Little Dream of Me” playing softly on the radio.

Skip seems to be a carefree and easy going kinda guy

When you first met him he let you open up to him at your own pace and before he knew it his patience had paid off

You tell him lots of things that you wouldn’t have dreamed of when you first started talking to him

He’s always there when your insecurities start to really get to you and he will tell you a story about something he did that was completely stupid

Like the time he swam across Niagara Falls

Before you knew it you had completely forgotten about whatever it was that bothered you and you were listening to him

Just the sound of his voice is enough to calm you and he will talk about the leaves on the tree outside your home just to keep talking

He learns the way you like your tea so he can make it perfectly and he leaves cups of it in places you will find them just because he cares about you and he wants to see you smile

You often catch him watching you paining your nails or reading and in the beginning you would shy away from him

But as the relationship continues you start having full conversations about the chapter you just read or you would ask him what colour you should chose next

He loves to make you laugh and he thinks the conversations you have on the couch together are the best moments of his life

Friendship George Luz

When the both of you get together it’s non stop talking

It’s a wonder how either of you manage to get a word in

You’re his best friend in the entire world and he is always in your home

The spare room is known as George’s room because it’s a rare thing for anyone other than him to sleep there

When you write George is the one who gets to read them first and he always reads them in a different voice to make you laugh

He actually works on the different voices during the week so he can show you his progress and he even gives you reasons why a certain character would talk a certain way complete with a full background profile 

He loves to make up characters with you and he gives them a specific voice based the character features you have described to him

If he gets a random idea for a character or a story line he writes it down and he is so excited to tell you all about it the next time he sees you

Sometimes you sneak a character that is similar to George into your writing and he goes red in the face when he realises what you did 

But he likes the idea of helping you and being some sort of inspiration in your creative process 

George seems to be the more positive of you both so he is your hype man and the one you go to when you need help no matter what it is

It’s usually George that gets you into trouble and you’re the one who has to get you both out of trouble

You balance each other out but that doesn’t mean you can’t go a bit wild at times
