BoB: S2-Ch16:Saving the General

“About time you showed up,” Levi quipped, standing up. Caleb reached forward and pulled the man off the ground, holding onto him firmly.

“You two…did this?” Ben asked, gesturing from the Life Guard to Charlie and back.

“Don’t act so surprised. And it was mostly Charlie,” Levi shrugged, shooting Charlie a small smile.

“Well, thank you, Miss Harris,” Ben nodded in Charlie’s direction as he grabbed Levi by the shoulder, starting to steer him out of the medical tent. “Come on, you’re coming with us.”

Summary: Charlie and Levi are just two 12 yr olds doing everyone's work for them. Charlie gets some help disinfecting medical equipment, Levi meets some high ranking military official, and at the end of the day, he gets a life long friend.

BoB:Ch13-Excerpt

Finally, his horse slid to a stop outside Ben’s tent. Hopping down from the saddle, Caleb swept into the tent, the opening flapping loudly around him.

“Hope I’m not interrupting anything,” He grinned at the two occupants. Ben sat on his small cot, listening intently as the beautiful blond across from him at the desk went over the supplies book. Both looked up at him as he spoke.

“Not at all, Lt. Brewster. We were just finishing up,” the woman said, shutting the book and tucking it under her arm.

BoB:S2-Ch 12 Excerpt

Zipporah let out deep sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. She could physically feel the stress building up in her shoulders.

“You Tallmadge boys are going to be the death of me, you know that?” She breathed out. Levi glanced up at her as he paused by the floorboard below the window.

“Wish I could help you with that, but…you knew what you were getting into, sorry,” He told her, only mildly sympathetically, as he crouched down and pried up the board

“Fine,” Levi conceded, throwing his arms up in frustration. “What did Henry tell you?”

“I already sent everything to Ben,” Abe deflected, still staring Levi down with his arms crossed.

“Doesn’t mean I don’t want to know,” Levi reiterated firmly, restraining to roll his eyes. Abe was clearly losing patience with Levi as well. Was it only Levi that made Abe so impatient, or was he this impatient with Sprout too?

Summary: Levi goes snooping in places he shouldn't be, Benjamin tries to frame Charles Lee and has a chat with a wounded Benedict Arnold, and Setauket is visited by raiders.
