I've wanted to wear eye makeup on a regular basis for a while now but never got the motivation until i finally found more reds to use and i'm so excited tbh

But from the perspective of Daoism + Chinese folk religion this is actually how worship of some deities work

You might set up a shrine for a certain deity but instead of it being actually that deity, a spirit nearby is recruited to fill the role of the deity you enshrined if that makes any sense
