An already-chunky fave gets exploded, its smithereens reconstituted into a streamlined, mean DJ tool with equal parts bounce and nosebleed pound.
A2: WEST NORWOOD CASSETTE LIBRARY . Drop (Knowing Looks Remix)
Fully hyped sample-heavy breakbeat flurry full of sirens and sicko wobble.
B1: KEVIN McPHEE . In Circles (Kamikaze Space Programme's Drum Tool)
"In Circles" is near-untouchable to begin with, but Kamikaze Space Programme does it justice, dialling up the tight and cranking up the bonk, klonk, and thump.
B2: J.TIJN . Flat (West Norwood Cassette Library Remix)
Housed up with a familiar loop (Photek by way of Pharoah Sanders, you'll know it when you hear it), the tranquil percussion and woozy sub bass evokes lakeside/poolside days, half-asleep zoning out on the sun reflecting on the water.
