I just finished reading 'Walt Disney: An American Original' by #BobThomas and of the biographies that I've read on #WaltDisney, this is by far the best of them 📚 The book begins with the Disney family history before Walt's birth and carefully chronicles his childhood leading into his storied career. From the creation of #OswaldTheLuckyRabbit to the mega-success of @MickeyMouse, from the inception of his venture into feature-length animated films to his almost life-long financial struggles to achieve his dreams, this biography is a true education on so many aspects of Walt’s life I never knew. I really wanted to read this book to learn the history of the creation of Disneyland and it does NOT disappoint (the last half of the book is largely devoted to inspiration, building, opening and expanding of @disneyland). The pages leading up to Walt's death are extremely touching and honest and the attention paid to the importance of big brother Roy in the success of the Disney empire is made very clear. I really, really loved reading this book. I’ve been devouring memoirs and biographies lately and #WaltDisneyAnAmericanOriginal is among the best I’ve ever read 🙌🏼 (at Toluca Lake, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3f7oXSBJ19/?igshid=1jqv0vw78aa5p
