Bo’s locker in February
I have to admit, Bo's locker scared me. I think it was partly the music they used. I was convinced that he was going to grow up into a criminal. But when he was nice to Jessie, it made me think hmm, maybe he does have a good side! Secret Paths definitely made me like Sharla more. Finding out she loved to write poetry like me helped too. I wish they had done more with the "bad" characters to humanize them. And Mavis. Mavis was one of my favorites.I I go to psychic expos now, ha ha.
Part of Bo’s scariness was how we didn’t really meet him until Secret Invitation. He was a reputation character for a long time. And with a locker like that it was easy to see the worst in him until he could show us himself that there was more to him than meets the eye. Sharla’s tough attitude was scary in New School, so yes seeing her home life and some of her hobbies was very sympathetic. I would have liked to know more about Bo’s home life and how he got interested in computers.
That’s cool about the expos. Does your jaw “sing like a canary” when something is about to happen?
