Making your way along the carriage, avoiding some of the passengers feet. Tom turned to you a look of concern filled his eyes.
‘Rules?’ Tom asked, you took the bag from him.
‘Phones will have to go.’ You said, unzipping the bag.
‘Harrison will have to drop-‘ You stopped.
‘Where’s Alisa?’ You questioned, he glanced at you and swallowed thickly.’Tom, what’s actually happening?’ You asked, he wrapped his hand around the pole.
‘These men, they want her, I’ve managed to but them off with the business but the times up.’ He said, your shoulders dropped.
‘How long do you have?’ You asked.
‘Three days.’ He stated.
‘Okay.’ You replied, grabbing onto the pole as you jolted around.
‘Okay? I’m not asking you to do anything.’ Tom said, his eyes widened as the train slowed a few passengers pushing past the pair of you in order to leave.
‘Harrison.’ You greeted him, as you opened the door.
‘Y/N, surprised to see you.’ He said, Tom climbed in and you followed shutting the door behind you.
‘Where to?’ Harrison asked, raising an eyebrow.
‘S.G.C please.’ You said, he nodded before driving off.
You slouched back on the seat, rubbing your forehead before pinching the bridge of your nose. Closing your eyes you leant back, letting the rocking of the car relax you.
‘We’re here.’ Harrison said, tom quickly got out but you reached into the bag and brung a bundle of money out.
‘Thank you, you can either come in or go home.’ You told him as he took the money.
‘I’ll go home and move the family.’ Hr said, both of you glancing at Tom.
‘He’ll need your help after this.’ You said, patting his shoulder before climbing out. Harrison turned and drove away before Tom and you started walking up to the door.
‘When were you last here?’ Tom asked, you fixed the bag strap.
‘Three years ago.’ You said, taking in the familiar building.
‘You’re on private property.’ A voice said, Tom stuttered in his step.
‘Yeah, that I fund.’ You replied, heavy footsteps echoed as the men walked out the shadows.
‘Boss.’ Henry said, you smiled at him.
‘I hope everything’s running smoothly.’ You teased, Henry and Charlie scoffed at you.
‘Are you coming back?’ Charlie’s questioned, the pair glancing at Tom.
‘There’s a problem that we need hep from the best people.’ You commented, they nodded.
‘There’s something we should tell you.’ Henry said, you raised an eyebrow before the door was opened.
‘Y/N.’ He said, his arms out stretched, the three men watched as you plastered a smile on your face.
‘Anthony, pleasure to see you.’ You greeted him.
‘We didn’t expect to see you.’ He replied, you ran your tongue over your lips.
‘Yes, an urgent matter needs attended to.’ You said, Anthony nodded before looking beside you.
‘And it consists of?’ He asked, you tutted.
‘You know we don’t discuss out here, safe room.’ You told him, he ran his tongue over his teeth before giving a tight smile.
‘Of course.’ He stepped to the side, gesturing fro you to enter.
Sighing you walked forward, Tom following closely feeling the tensions between you and Anthony. He kept his head held high as he walked past him, his gaze focussed on him. When you entered the building you were greeted by Oscar, who gave you a wide and welcoming smile as you placed the bag on the belt, along with your shoes. Walking through the scanner, the murmurs of your employees and ex-colleagues filled your ears as you pulled your shoes back on.
Sauntering further in your lifted your head, everyone was looking at you in shock but you looked to the top of the stairs, making eye contact with Maria. She raised an eyebrow but quickly looked to Tom, then back to you. You quirked an eyebrow and she nodded.
‘Do you remember where the room is?’ Anthony asked, you didn’t respond before you started marching towards it, everyone moving out your way.
Anthony quickly caught up with you before swiping his card, the door buzzed open. You, tom Anthony and Maria entered the room, Anthony glared at her but didn’t say anything as you sat down.
‘Tom’s in trouble.’ You spoke up.
‘And he couldn’t come here himself?’ he asked.
‘Seems he went straight to the top.’ Maria said, Anthony glared at her again but she raised an eyebrow not seeming bothered.
‘She isn’t the boss.’ He stated, crossing his arms over his chest.
‘I might not work here anymore but it’s my business, I get the monthly run down.’ You said, he looked shocked.
‘I just need help with research, a couple of weapons and we’ll be gone.’ You stated.
‘Why?’ He questioned.
‘It seems a group is after Tom and his girlfriend.’ You stated.
‘Fiancé.’ Tom spoke up, you turned to him with furrowed eyebrows.
‘I proposed three months ago.’ He said, your eyebrows shot up.
‘Congratulations.’ You told him, patting his shoulder.
‘So what do you know?’ Anthony asked, you shrugged, ‘That’s why I’m here for the best researcher.’ You said, Maria ducked her head and mailed.
‘I’ll be gone tonight.’ You. Said, Anthony sighed before nodding.
He turned and left the room, Maria quickly got out her seat and wrapped her arms around you, practically sitting in your lap.
‘It’s so good to see you.’ She stated pulling back.
‘You as well.’ You replied, smiling widely.
‘So what’s the group?’ Maria asked, turning to Tom.
‘Crimson Riders.’ He said Maria, almost dropped the tablet.
‘Really?’ She asked her nodded.
‘God, you know how to pick them.’ She teased.
‘Maria.’ You spoke up.
‘Right, sorry.’ She cleared her throat.
‘They are essentially an us, they protect people mainly criminals but they’ve been on a murdering rage.’ She stated, showing the blurry photos of the men and women.
‘What do they want with you?’ Maria asked.
‘They want Alisa.’ You stated, Maria looked confused.
‘Why?’ Maria asked.
‘She’s for money.’ You said, Tom’s head snapped around to you.
‘How’d you know?’ He asked.
‘At the cafe, she stood proper, moved the cutlery into the right position and the necklace she was wearing.’ You informed him, tapping your collarbone. He still looked shocked before nodding.
‘I need as much information on them as possible.’ You said, she nodded.
‘Tom and I are going for a shower.’ You said, pushing out the seat your muscles aching as Tom stood up as well.
‘I’ll see you.’ Maria said, typing away on the tablet.
‘The sowers are down the hall, third to the right.’ You told him.
‘Where are you going?’ He asked.
‘The gym, need to warm up before everything kicks off.’ You stated, he nodded before you both separated.
Pounding your fists against the punching bag, your breathing was heavy. You continued punching until the figure appeared at your side, glancing at him you watched Anthony stood behind the bag, stopping it from swinging.
‘What’s your plan?’ He asked.
‘I’m taking Tom, picking Alisa up and taking them to a safe house and then I’m going after them.’ You said, removing the wrap from your hands.
‘Is that what’s best?’ He questioned.
‘He’s not-‘
‘I’m taking about you. Are you capable of taking them down?’ He questioned.
‘I only need to talk to the boss.’ You shrugged.
‘It’s one of the biggest, dangerous groups.’ He said, you dropped your hands.
‘I grew up in one of them, I know the ins and outs of how they roll.’ You reminded him, ripping the last of the wrap off, scrunching it up.
‘I’ll give you some men to watch them when you go.’ He said, you raised an eyebrow.
‘You can take Henry, Charlie’s, and a handful of my men.’ He said, rubbing your lips together before nodding.
‘You’ll need to get them ready, we’ll be leaving in an hour or so.’ You stated, signalling to Tom as he entered the gym.
‘Okay.’ He said, letting go of the bag and turned before walking away, pulling his phone out.
‘Are you feeling better?’ Yo asked him, Tom nodded as you looked at his bruises.
‘What’s the next move?’ He questioned.
‘I need to freshen up, we can grab something to eat before going to get Alisa and moving you.’ You said, he nodded but didn’t move.
‘Tom?’ You asked, he made eye contact.
‘Why me?’ He said, you looked at him confused.
‘Why does it happen to me? I cant just have ran that business.’ He said, his eyes darting around the fairly empty gym.
‘Tom.’ You said, he didn’t look at you.
‘Tom.’ You said again, this time placing your hands on his shoulders. He looked at your arms before focussing on your face.
‘Would you rather, you and Alisa broke up You questioned, he shook his head.
‘Well then, I see you as someone who’s brave, putting everything on the line to protect the one you love.’ You explained, giving his shoulders a tight squeeze.
‘So go get food, it’s a a long drive to the safe house.’ You informed him, he swallowed as you dropped your arms.

‘Y/N back again.’ Alec said behind the counter, wiping his flour covered hands on the apron leaving white handprint.
‘Well your food is to die for.’ You stated, he smiled widely and ducked his head.
‘To go or sitting in?’ he asked, you looked over your shoulder only seeing a couple of people were sitting at the tables.
‘Sitting in.’ You replied.
‘Take a seat and ill bring it over.’ He told you, nodding you made your way over to the table that faced the large window that looked onto the seat.
Sitting down you reached into your bag and pulled out the book, setting it on the table before opening it. Removing the bookmark, hunching over you started delving into the other world until Alec cleared his throat breaking your attention.
‘What’s it about?’ He questioned, setting the drink and meal upfront of you as you moved the book slightly to the side.
‘Two people who hate each other who have to go on their friends honeymoon, due to the happy couple getting ill.’ You informed him, he raised an eyebrow.
‘I didn’t take you as a romance reader.’ He said, you shrugged shutting the book.‘I have a soft spot for it, I think we’re all a little bit romantic.’ You stated, both of you staring at each other before you looked away.
‘Well I’ll let you enjoy your lunch.’ He said, you looked up and nodded before he walked away.
‘Alec you need to ask her out.’ Blair said, Alec scoffed focussing on the customers.
‘No I don’t.’ He replied, serving a customer.
‘You both clearly like each other and Y/N is too shy to do it herself.’ Blair stated, gesturing to you as you flicked through the pages whilst eating.
Reaching the top of the stairs, you lifted your head and turned to the door, sliding your key in before noticing the dark red around the handle and the edge. Taking your key out pushing it open, entering the small hallway, shutting the door quietly behind you. Following the droplets of blood, arriving in your living room you could see the intruder standing at the sink running his hands under the water.
‘Raise your hands and turn slowly.’ You said out loud, their hands went up and they turned around.
‘Tom?’ You questioned, he was covered head to toe in blood, a lot seeping into his shirt and dress pants along with his brown curls.
‘Y/N you look good.’ He replied with a smile, lowering his hands.
‘I’d say the same but your dropping blood onto my floor.’ You replied, he looked down.
‘Sorry.’ He said frowning slightly.
‘Let’s get you cleaned up and you can tell me what happened.’ You said, he nodded.
‘Deal.’ He replied, watching as you dropped tour bag and walked past him.
He turned and followed you trying to tread lightly not wanting to leave any more mess. Opening a door you stepped in switching a light on before stepping back, allowing him to see the bathroom.
‘I’ll find some spare clothes.’ You told him, he nodded and entered as you walked to your bedroom.
Rummaging through your draws you finally found an old pair of jaggy bottoms and a ratty top. Grabbing them you walked back to the bathroom, the steam was starting to fill the room. You set them down before leaving the small room. Making your way to the kitchen you flicked the kettle on before grabbing two cups. Turning around the dried blood caught your attention. Sighing you penned the cupboard below the sink, pulling the bleach and an old cloth out.
Spreading the liquid on the floor, you squatted before scrubbing and moving along the trail. The smell stinging the back of your nose and throat. Hearing shuffling behind you, looking over your shoulder Tom stood in the doorway, a fresh bruise decorating his jaw and eye.
‘I’m soaking the clothes in the tub.’ He said, you lifted the cloth and bottle as your stood up.
‘I don’t think you’ll get them back.’ You stated, dropping the cloth into the sink.
‘I’m making a cup of tea, do you want one?’ You questioned, grabbing the tea bags.
‘Please.’ He replied, you nodded.
‘Take a seat.’ You pointed to the couch behind you. He pushed off the door frame and walked over.
‘Open up.’ You quickly stood up, along with Tom before you pointed to the bathroom, you grabbed the empty mugs placing them in the sink. Grabbing the tinted red cloth, wrapping it around your hand as you walked to the door. Pulling it open to see two police officers.
‘Can I help you gentlemen?’ You asked them.
‘We’re looking for a fugitive, and he was last seen heading this way.’ The taller man stated.
‘Oh.’ You said, raising your eyebrows.
‘And by the trail of blood, it looks like he has been.’ The second man said, pointing to the edge of the door.
‘Oh no, that was me.’ You said, raising tour covered hand.
‘I cut my hand on a knife.’ You said, they looked at you confused.
‘So why is the blood on the outside?’ He said.
‘I had to feed the neighbourhood cat.’ You said, he ran by just in time, his little bell on his collar ringing.
‘And the door shut behind, me so I had to open it.’ You explained, they pursed their lips not looking as if they bought it.
‘Is it okay if we come in?’ He asked.
‘Of course.’ You said, stepping back and opened the door wide.
‘Have you saw any suspicious activity?’ The taller one asked, you furrowed your eyebrows and shook your head.
‘I got home half an hour ago, I’m more focussed on relaxing.’ You said, watching as they searched the living room and kitchen.
‘I never caught your names.’ You said, crossing your arms.
‘Why would you need them?’ The shorted one asked.
‘So I can phone you if I spot this fugitive.’ You stated, they stopped and looked at each other.
‘We’re satisfied that he hasn’t been here so we’ll allow you to relax.’ He said, you raised an eyebrow before nodding.
‘I’ll see you out.’ You said, waiting until the pair were in front of her.
The tallest one reached for the door handle, pulling the door open and stepped outside. You stood at the door watching as they walked down the stairs in a silent conversation, climbing into the car you finally shut the door, locking it.
‘Tom.’ You called out, he stuck is head out before walking out.
‘Was that the police?’ He asked, keeping his hands tucked behind him.
‘No, but I think you know who they are.’ You stated, moving to the window, moving the curtain to the side, they hadn’t drove off yet.
‘What have you gotten yourself involved in?’ You asked moving from the window.
Tom moved to the side as you pushed the couch back, before dropping to your knees. You played with the floor board before lifting it up.
‘The business was failing.’ He said, watching as you reached under the floor, dragging something about.
‘You didn’t ask Robert?’ You asked, he lowered his head.
‘Or even me?’ You questioned.
‘I didn’t know where you were.’ He said, you pulled out a dusty duffle bag before reaching back under.
‘But you came here today?’ You asked, your voice muffled.
‘I messaged Chris the other day, he finally got back to me this morning.’ He stated.
‘What are you doing?’ He asked, you produced another duffle bag.
‘They two men haven’t left, their more than likely waiting for back up with guns.’ You said, standing up.
‘I shouldn’t have come here.’ Tom said, shaking his head.
‘You obviously need my help.’ You said, he nodded slowly all his emotions running through his eyes.
‘It’s more than the business, isn’t it?’ You asked, his eyes widened as the door was chapped.
Bending and picking a gun up, checking it as you walked over looking through the small peep hole. Unlocking the door, you keep the weapon hidden.
‘Alec, what are you doing here?’ You asked, letting the door rest against your shoulder as you smiled widely.
‘I came to ask you something.’ He said.
‘I can come back if this isn’t a good time.’ He offered, you were about to agree but when you saw the handful of cars pul up, you stretched out and pulled him in, locking the door again.
‘What’s going on?’ He asked, you turned to him. He was looking at Tom, and then to your hand that held the gun.
‘Are you still friends with Harrison?’ You asked Tom, pushing Alec into the living room.
‘Yes.’ He replied.
‘Call him, get him to pick us up in front of Kings Cross.’ You said, sliding the gun into your waistband.
‘Y/N, what’s happening?’ Alec asked, watching you pick another gun up, bigger this time.
‘You need to leave through the back and get home.’ You told him, he stared at you confused.
‘Alec go unless you want to see me murder someone.’ You said, his jaw dropped before he took off, not sparing any of this a second glance.
‘H, will be there.’ Tom said as he ended the room.
‘Find a weapon you like and get ready.’ You said, he moved the bags behind the couch as you knocked over, ducking behind it.
Stretching taller you aimed your gun over, reaching into the bag next to you retrieving the metal cylinder. You listened to the hushed voice and footsteps that made their way up the stairs. Someone tried the handle but when it didn’t budge it was kicked in, bits of wood flew from the frame.
You rested the gun against your collar none whilst you pulled the pin from the stun grenade. Chucking it over to the group as they huddled into the hallway. Ducking down, you took the gun with you as the loud bang followed by a flash of light. Hearing the groans, you popped back up, firing shots into the group, knocking a couple down before you had to duck down as some returned fire.
Sending a burst of bullets you moved behind the couch. You checked your bullets, tom turned and forced his as they continued into the living room.
‘Drop the gun, grab the bag and leave.’ You told him before you returned fire.
‘I’ll be right behind you.’ You said, he dropped the gun and picked the bag up as he left through the door Alec had disappeared.
You went to go after him but the bulletin cutting in front of you, stopping you quickly.
‘Don’t move.’ He said, you kept your hands where he could see them.
‘Drop the gun.’ He commanded, you clenched your jaw but dropped the gun onto the couch.
‘Seems to me that you aren’t as innocent as you made out to be.’ He said, you turned to him and smirked.
‘We all have a dark side.’ You said.
‘My boss wants a word with you.’ He stated.
‘I’m sorry but that’s gonna have to wait.’ You said, something flickered in his eyes.
You reached forward and grabbed his gun, twisting it around. He tried to get it, but quickly pulled the trigger,, hitting his leg. He dropped down as you dropped the gun.
‘I’ll be seeing you.’ you told him before quickly grabbing the gun from your waistband and ran out the house, meeting Tom at the bottom of the garden.
The pair of you ran down the street, panting loudly with your feet slapping the ground. A loud engine roared behind you looking over your shoulder to see one of them leaning out the window.
‘Get into the underground.’ You told him, he looked at the car before crossing the road a few cars honking at him.
You turned back to the car aiming you gun at them, they fired their gun before you returned. It, successfully hitting a wheel causing them to crash into a parked one. Quickly crossing the road, entering the underground chucking the gun into the bin. Jogging to the gates you pressed your pass from your back pocket. The gates opened before you pushed past people, spotting Tom you whistled. He turned and you motioned to the train. He climbed on your got on one carriage, the door shutting you spotted the man try to run over. You smirked at him before saluting as the train pulled away.

Walking up the pavement the bright lights switched on blinding you as you raised your arms, hands spread wide. Listening to the Harvey footsteps running towards you.
‘Freeze.’ They called, you rolled your eyes as the men surrounded you, guns aimed.
‘You’re on private property.’ One to your left said, you turned to him looking around your arm.
‘Tell Elizabeth an old friend is here to see her.’ You said, confusion crossed a few of their faces.
‘She’s expecting you ma’am.’ Another man said you raised an eyebrow.
‘Am I allowed to lower my arms?’ You asked, not wanting to get shot in the back.
‘Lower them, but we still need to see your hands.’ He replied, you nodded lowering them down.
Stepping into the large building your side was aching and the fluorescent light was agitating your head.
‘Thought I’d be dead before I saw you again.’ The gentle voice asked, focussing on the end of the hall, Elizabeth stood head tilted to the side. Her long hair wavy as she has paired it with the low cut jumpsuit.
‘Must be a dead man walking then.’ You replied, she smirked whilst she started walking towards you.
Once she was in front of you, she sized you up, quirking an eyebrow before you were pushed against the wall. A hand around your throat, the other pressing the end of a knife into your chest.
‘You got rid of your nose ring.’ You commented before making eye contact.
‘Why are you here?’ Elizabeth questioned.
‘You’re trying to buy someone.’ You said.
‘Alisa Manning.’ She said, you held your chin higher maintaining eye contact.
‘She is ours.’ Elizabeth said.
‘A person isn’t a belonging.’ You replied.
‘That’s why you’re hear, you want to pay for her.’ She stated, her grip tightening as she tilted her head.
‘Well you aren’t going to leave her or Mr Holland alone are you?’ You asked, your Adam’s apple tight as you swallowed.
‘Not just now.’ She replied, the corners of her lips curling.
‘Name your prize.’ You challenged her, she removed her hand from your neck, gently stroking it.
‘You’re serious.’ She asked.
‘Yes, Holland is a friend of mine and he wants his fiancé left alone.’ You said.
‘So what is your prince?’ You asked again,
Dropping the knife from your chest she took a couple of steps back, you fixed your clothes and glanced at the men who still stood either side of you.
‘I can get the money in and hour but I can’t do the business.’ You said.
‘Why not?’ She snarled.
‘I’m no longer threw owner, I don’t even work there.’ You twisted the truth.
‘But you’re here.’ She pointed to her feet.
‘As I said, Holland is a friend and I’m doing him a favour.’ You informed her, watching as her jaw dropped slightly before gleaning at the men to your right.
A shrilling sound filled the quiet hallway. Elizabeth sighed before reaching into her back pocket, pulling her phone out and answering it. Her eyebrows drew together, getting closer together as the person talked then she made eye contact with you and quickly hung up.
‘Bad news?’ You asked, raising an eyebrow.
‘I think you know.’ She replied stiffly, you shrugged your shoulders.
‘I did find the tracker and I’m guessing that was wither Maria or Anthony telling you your men have been captured.’ You said, the four men turned to you.’
‘I want to know how.’ She said.
‘How I knew?’ You asked, she nodded stiffly.
‘No one knew about the cabin except the people in they two cars.’ You explained, her shoulders slumped as she nodded.
‘Very well.’ She sighed.
‘Kill her.’ Elizabeth commanded your eyes widened.
Moving quickly you pulled the man to your left in front of you whilst turning to face the other three. They kept their guns aimed at you, as you looked over the mans shoulder, your free hand grabbing the gun from his thigh. Firing it around his arm the bullet lodged in the wall between their heads. Raising their guns higher, they aimed but couldn’t fire. The man you were stood behind, softy wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you around, flinging into the floor causing the gun to slip out your hand as you groaned.
He pulled his gun out, but you quickly kicked your leg in the air connecting to the second mans crouch. As he crouched over, you grabbed the shoulder of his top and flipped him over knocking him into the first man both tumbling to the floor. Grabbing the discarded pistol and firing the third man on the leg. Rolling onto your knees you hooked your arm around his neck. Shooting the other man, he dropped down loosening your grip on the third man he lay limp.
Bullets flying at you made you grab his gun and run to cover in the room. Looking autumn, you groaned not seeing any hiding spots. Your ribs pulled as you turned back and hid between the walls and door. Listening to Elizabeth commanded the remaining two, their footsteps thudded along the hallway. Checking the builders left, you invalided sharply only seeing five left.
The door was kicked open, their shadows casted onto the floor as they slowly inched forward. When the first man’s leg stuck out past the door. Firing the gun the bullet lodged in the back of his leg, as he dripped down your fired again and he crumpled lifelessly to the floor.
The second shadow froze before slowly creeping forward, you pressed further into the wall, making him step over his dead friend. His gun was already aimed at you but quickly crouching caused the bullet to chip the wall. Raising your gun you pulled the trigger but nothing came out, it had jammed. Groaning your chucked it forward your side pulling as you quickly crossed the space. Hitting him in the centre of his upper hall, both of you landing with a grunt. Raising your fists you brought them down, connecting with his face, his lip burst, blood spluttering across his face and your knuckles. Breathing heavily you slowed when he wasn’t reacting anymore. Rolling off him, using the table to support your weight as you stood up. The men in the hallway were still out as you carefully made your way towards the door.
The weight flung at you pulled you into the wall, knocking your shoulder hard as you turned to the bloody face. He breathed heavily, blood sprayed out landing across your cheek as his hands wrapped around your neck, squeezing. Letting out a squeak you started hitting him but he only smiled at you, his bloodstained teeth on display as you fought the dark spots that were starting to fill your vision. Stopping hitting him, you felt your way up his arms, resting your hands on his shoulder as he squeezed tighter. Blinking rapidly you focussed on his bloody face before cupping his face and digging your thumbs into his eyes, he screamed out as you continued digging in feeling tendons snapping and tearing, the dark blood flowing down his face and standing your hands. He loosened his hands allowing you to take deep breaths before grabbing the knife that was in his waist band. Quickly stabbing it into his chest under his ribs he gasped, you removed it before stabbing him again. Removing the knife you stepped back pressing against the wall as he collapsed to his knee, slouching forward. You reached over and pushed him, making him drop to the side, blood slowly pulling under him.
Cleaning your throat, wincing at the pain you turned to the open door. Elizabeth was standing with her gun aimed at you, rolling your eyes you chuckled through your nose.
‘Shot me.’ You spoke, your voice gritty.
‘Come one it’s what you want isn’t it?’ You asked rhetorically.
‘You want the bragging right of killing me, the business would boom.’ You continued as you stated walking forward.
‘Bare in mind, you kill me you will have my friends, family and allies coming after you.’ You warned her, the gun now pressed against your chest.
She swallowed thickly, looking at the gun before lowering it as she made eye contact. You smirked as it dropped to the ground, raising the knife you pressed it under her chin, the skin breaking.
‘You will recall the hit on Alisa Manning and Tom Holland.’ You demanded, she nodded.
‘You will also give Tom his business back.’ You added, she nodded again as the door was kicked in. The pair of you raised an arm and covered your faces.‘F.B.I.’ Evans called out, his gun aimed at Elizabeth.
‘What are you doing here?’ You asked, dropping the knife from Elizabeth throat.
‘Tom phoned.’ He said, Sebastian moving behind him.
‘He needs to stop, I’m handling it.’ You said, pulling Elizabeth back she tried to sneak away.
Chris looked to the side, noticing the two men slumped over before looking further. The other two men lying in their own blood.
‘Looks like it.’ He replied, putting his gun back into the holster but grabbed the cuffs, placing them around Elizabeth’s wrists.
‘She has a phone call to make when she gets into custody.’ You told him, dropping the knife.
‘Agent Stan.’ You greeted him as he entered the hallway.
‘Y/L/N.’ He said, ducking his head.
‘Y/N, you made it.’ Tom said, you pulled him in for a hug careful not to mess up his suit.
‘Of course, I wouldn’t miss it.’ You said, letting go of each other as he smiled widely.
‘So are you ready to tie the knot?’ You quizzed he chuckled and you glanced to Harrison who rolled his eyes.
‘He’s been like this for the past two days.’ He informed you, you pulled a face which Harrison agreed as well.
‘Well at least you’re happy.’ You said, he nodded again.
‘Well.. I’ll see you’ll see you on the other side.’ You gave him a mock salute before leaving the room.
‘Oh, I also heard that your business is back up and running.’ You stated, your hand on the door handle.
‘Yeah, the woman paid everything back.’ He said, his smirked grew bigger.
‘Well it looks like everything is looking up.’ You stated opening the door and left.

Yet one day it all chances when she walked in and finds Tom, slouched in her kitchen, covered in blood, asking for help. Helping him will lead to her return to the lift that she left, and hasn’t looked back at.

‘Y/N.’ Anthony called out.
You slid your blade into your boot before turning to him and the group of men. Henry and Charlie crossed to your car, placing one of their bags in the front, the other in the boot. You took in the other four men.
‘Benedict, Jacob, Jake and Mark.’ Anthony introduced them, you nodded your head.
‘Y/N, but for this Alpha.’ You said, it was their turn to nod.
‘If you have your phones, take them out and give them to Anthony.’ You said, they hesitated before you crossed your arms.
Reaching into their pockets they pulled the phones out as Tom made his way over, his head held high as Maria followed him.
‘We’re radios only, no signal where we’re going.’ You stated, glancing at Anthony jigging the phones.
‘Destination is already programmed into the sat nav, try and limits breaks.’ You said, they nodded before climbing Ito their car.
‘So, where’s Alisa?’ You questioned Tom.
‘With her parents.’ He sad, you checked your gun again.
‘Do they know what’s happening?’ You quizzed.
‘By the photo they posted, no.’ Maria spoke up.
The four of them turned and looked at the tables. Alisa was stood between her
parents, forcing a smile as the older versions of her smiled brightly.
‘How long ago was it posted?’ You asked.
‘Ten minutes, including a tagged location.’ Maria said, Henry and Charlie quickly climbed int their sets.
‘Which means they’ll be on the way.’ You stated looking at Tom.
He moved without being told, climbing into the car as Maria handed you the tablet.
‘All the information is there.’ She said, you bobbed your head in thanks before rounding the car and starting it.
‘Looks like we’re going to stand out a bit.’ You stated, noticing the fancy suits and dresses, Tom scoffed
‘Most the people in there are drunk, they won’t care or even remember.’ He informed you, the pair of you jogging up the stairs. A man stepped out in front of you.
‘Zander, she’s a guest.’ Tom spoke up, Zander’s dark eyebrows furrowed as he nodded, watching the pair moved soured him.
‘Over at the bar.’ Tom said, you followed his pointed finger, the waiter who walked in front of your caught your eye.
‘Tom, does the staff carry weapons here?’ You quizzed as you walked through the crowd, ignoring the murmuring and glances.
‘No.’ He said, turning his head to looked at you.
‘Alisa.’ Tom called out.
She turned around, her hair pulled back in an elegant bun, she smiled widely it faltered slightly when she saw you before it widened again.
‘Y/N, I’m so glad you could make it.’ She said, keeping up an appearance before pulling Tom in, giving him a quick kiss, keeping him close.
‘I wouldn’t miss it for the world, sorry I’m so underdressed.’ You replied, she dismiss it with a wave.
‘You need to say your goodbyes.’ You told them, Alisa looked at you with worry.
‘I’ll be right behind you bot, the whole time.’ You comforted then, resting a hand on each of their arms.
‘Plus Henry and Charlie are in the car as well.’ You added.
‘What do I tell them?’ she asked, you looked around the large room, noticing the waiter from earlier, minus the tray.
‘Tell them Tom is taking you away for a romantic weekend before you are whisked into work. You said, she gave a small smile as Tom took her hand, before she lead the way.
You slowed your pace, Tom and Alisa continued walking, wrapped up in each other as the waiter appeared. Narrowing your eyes you saw him reach into his jacket, lifting your foot up you grabbed your dagger. Quicken your steps you taped his shoulder he turned to you.
‘I ordered a drink five minutes ago, and I haven’t received it.’ You said, confusing crossed his face.
‘I’m on my break.’ He replied gruffly, you sighed as he moved away. Wrapping your fingers around his wrist, you pulled him back pressing the dagger to his neck, his eyes widening.
‘Is anyone else here?’ You asked, he didn’t move.
‘Y/N?’ Tom called out, you glanced at the pair.
‘Get to the car.’ You told him, to wrapped an arm around Alisa’s waist and guided her out.
‘I asked if anyone else was here?’ you asked, he only smirked.
‘Man, just tell me to i’ll lodge this so far up your ass it will meet your gun.’ You said, his forehead crinkled slightly as yo head the clicking of the safety being removed.
‘Seriously?’ You quizzed, he raised an eyebrow almost challenging you.
Applying more pressure to his skin, he flinched as you dew some blood, before dropping the dagger and pressed it against his crotch. His eyes widened in fear as you smirked.
‘Every mans weakness.’ You said.
‘Now is there anyone else with you‘ You asked, he quickly shook his head as you applied a little more pressure.
‘Do you work for the Crimson Riders.’ You asked, he swallowed.
‘I was hired by them.’ He spoke up.
‘How much?’
‘Half a million, unharmed.’ He stated, you nodded.
Your free hand wrapped around his gun, pulling it from his grip, slipping the safety on. You dismantled it as e watched you in shock.
‘Give us a ten minute start and your more than welcome to hone them, to say we got away.’ You told him, dropping them pieces to the ground before walking away.
You had made it outside, the cool air sneaking under your cloths and running along your skin as the window on the car you passed shattered. Jerking to the side, you turned on your heel, seeing the waiter from earlier. He was smiling wickedly pointing the gun at you.
‘Did you think you’d get away?’ He asked, you looked around hearing the engine rev.
‘Lower the gun.’ You said, raising your hands.
‘You aren’t so confident when you have the gun aimed at you.’ He said, signalling with the gun to the lower yourself onto the ground, which you complied with.
‘I just need you to tell me where she is.’ He said, you tilted your head to the side.
‘In the car, to your left.’ You told him, the car sped towards him.
As he ducked back, you grabbed the knife from your ankle again and stood up. He turned back to you, but you chucked the knife, it graced through the air before disappearing into his chest. He froze, looking down at it before his arm dropped and he collapsed onto his knees. Charlie stopped the car and you climbed in, shutting the door as he sped off. You looked to Tom and Alisa who were huddled together before Henry reached around, handing you the tablet the file sup and open.
‘Head to the safe house.’ You said, clicking onto the file looking to Charlie who nodded and then to the pair.
‘I know it will be hard, but get some sleep, it’s a long journey.’ You informed them, Alisa nodded as Tom gently squeezed her hand before you turned back to the tablet looking over the information.
‘That’s us here.’ You announced, glad that your part of the driving was over after switching with Charlie closet to four hours ago.
Unbuckling your seatbelt you looked at the modern cabin, the four men made theirselves known. Walking out to greet you, guns resting at their sides climbing out along with the others you nodded at the men before moving to the boot as Henry opened it.
‘How’s everything?’ You asked, Tom and Alisa lingered next to the car.
‘It’s clear, we got food and water to last roughly a week.’ Benedict said, you pulled your bag onto your shoulder.
‘Thank you.’ You replied, they both grabbed the remaining bags and marched through the leaves.
‘You can go ahead.’ You told Tom, he looked at you cautiously before holding his hand out, offering to take your bag. Sliding it off your shoulder and handing it over before he walked off, glancing over his shoulder.
‘What are you doing?’ He questioned, she turned to you, glancing at the car.
‘Leaving.’ She said, you raised an eyebrow.
‘To where?’ You quizzed, she looked at the woods.
‘Six miles of woods each direction and you and Tom are targets.’ You reminded her, as someone walked out, your hand falling to your gun, until you saw it was Henry and Charlie.
‘All clear.’ Henry stated, yo nodded turning back to Alisa.
‘She needs to get inside’ Charlie stated, Alisa glanced at him.
‘She’s going trust me’ Yo said, she opened her mouth to protest but movement behind her caused you to pull your gun out and aim it past her.
Within seconds you pulled the trigger, a body stumbled forward and collapsed onto the ground. Pushing Alisa towards Charlie and Henry, you started firing as a handful of men stepped out from the trees.
‘Get her inside.’ You said, returning fore as you walked backwards, keeping yourself between Alisa and shooters. The men from inside the house ran our, protecting the three of you to get inside whilst you stood your ground.
Slowly the men were down down, dropping their guns as they lay lifeless on the first covered ground. Raising your arm, you signalled for them to get back to the house as a. man aimed at you, the bullet whizzing past you before he fell to the ground. The shooting stopped, but yo kept your gun raised, whilst walking back to the cabin.
Once inside you slammed the door, sliding the locks over, Alisa and Tom were standing in the middle of the room.
‘You’ve been hit.’ Alisa said, noticing the darker stain on your top.
Handing your gun to Henry, you walked into the kitchen grabbing a cloth, running it underwater. Squeezing the excess water out your removed your top, leaving you in your sports bra. Alisa gasped when she saw the scars running across your skin. Placing the cold cloth on the gasp on your side.
‘You need a medic.’ Benedict said.
‘I need a sewing kit.’ You stated, looking at him, tom disappeared before reappearing seconds later with the kit.
‘I’m not doing it again.’ He warned as you took it from him.
‘It isn’t staples your fine.’ You replied, he winced at the memory.
You stood up, wincing as the gash pulled before you cleared your throat and walked out the room.
‘You were pulling the last of the thread through your skin, when the door slowly opened.
‘What are you doing?’ You asked, the door stopped. Moving before it opened and shut quickly.
‘I want to say sorry.’ Alisa said, you tired a knot in the thread.
‘It’s fine.’ You stated, dropping the needle.
‘No, it’s not.’ She practically snapped, you raised an eyebrow.
‘I should’ve listened but I panicked.’ She admitted, your sighed before turning your head to her.
‘It’s okay to panic, but your need to panic in safe zones.’ You reminded her, she sighed.
‘I know it can be scary, but Tom isn’t going to let anything happen to you.’ You relaxed.
‘He loves you.’ You stated.
‘He loves you as well.’ She pointed out, your blew air into your cheeks.
‘It’s a different kind of love, I saved him.’ You reminded her, she nodded.
‘It’s still love.’ She added, you shook your head.
‘It makes you believe the person can never do wrong.’ You took a breath, ‘it’s how you get scars like mine.’ You added, her brows furrowed.
‘They sneak past your defence and let you down.’ You said, before your head snapped to the door.
‘Sneak past.’ You muttered, standing up the gash pulled, ignoring it you pulled a top and yanked the door open, Alisa following behind you.
‘Tom, Alisa sit on the couch.’ You directed them, tom glanced at Alisa who shrugged before they listened.
‘You four, over there.’ You pointed at them, they looked confused but walked over whilst you had a silent conversation with Henry and Charlie, Charles left the room.
‘Can you tell me how we were tracked?’ You asked them.
‘Ma-am-.’ He was cut off.
‘No, I didn’t hire or train you there for I don’t trust you.’ You stated, Charlie entered the room, holding a long object.
‘None of is have phones, there’s no service.’ You said, taking the object from Charlie, switching it on, the beeps quiet and constant.
‘But trackers still work.’ You said, looking over the group.
‘And this house isn’t marked or mapped anywhere since its mine, registered under a different name.’ you explained, noticing one of them tensile slightly.
‘All I need to so is scan you, your clear, we’re good.’ You stated, waving the scanner.
‘Mark.’ You said, he looked at the others before stepping forward. You nodded before raising the scanner, the beeps staying constant.
‘You cleared.’ You gave him a stiff smile as he walked past you leaving the trio.
‘Benedict.’ You said, he stepped forward and held his arms out as he watched your every move.
Running the scanner over him the beeps didn’t change, you gave him a nod before he moved past her joining Mark.
‘Jake.’ You said, he confidently stepped forward.
You raised the scanner, the beeps stayed the sae until your got to his left shoulder, where they quickened. Turning to look at him he was already watching up.
‘Surprise.’ He said, you stepped back from him as he started smiling.
‘Get me a knife.’ You said, turning to look at them, Jake reached forward and grabbed your top.
‘No.’ he snarled, pulling you back.
Sliding your arms out the sleeves, your slipped out, before twisting the fabric and moved behind him. He tried to move but the top had pulled his arm up to his chest and was tightened around his neck. Kicking the back of his knees they gave out and Jake dropped to the floor.
‘Knife and cuffs.’ You. Said, pushing him down so he was lying on his chest.
‘Here.’ Jacob said, you took the silver cuffs, pulling his arms behind. His back before wrapping them around his wrists.
‘Y/N.’ Henry said, holding a knife taking it from him.
Moving your knee to the centre of his back, using the blade you sliced the top revealing his pale shoulder. Pinching his skin, you move along Intel your felt the odd shape. Digging the tip in your cut a small gash before setting the knife down. Squeezing the tracker along it slowly came out the cut, covered in blood before you picked it up. Pressing harder into Jakes back you stood up.
‘Can I trust you three?‘ You asked, looking to Mark, Benedict and Jacob, who nodded.
‘Good take this with you and return back to base, tell everyone to be ready.’ You said, reaching your hand out passing it to them.
‘And where are you going?’ Charlie asked, you turned to him.
‘To pay the boss a visit.’ You replied, all their faces dropped.
‘Keep Alisa and Tom here.’ You told Charlie and Henry, they stiffly nodded.
‘Y/N-.’
‘Tom, you need protection that’s why you came to me.’ You reminded him, pointing to your chest.
‘With this case I need to go to the source’ You said, he opened his mouth to say something but chose not to before nodding.
‘Be safe.’ He said, you gave him a nod. Before a gun was pointed at her.
‘I won’t need it, she’ll strip me when I arrive.’ You stated, the gun was removed.
‘Well I bid you all goodbye and good luck.’ You told the group, wiping the drying blood down your trousers.
‘You as well.’ A couple muttered, you nodded and took off leaving the cabin behind.
Opening the car door, your climbed in turning the engine on before looking back, spotting Tom in the window, you waved to him and he returned it as you speed off turning up the dirt and leaves.

Tom had gone to bed over and hour ago, and you had followed going into the spare bedroom. You had tried to fall asleep but hadn’t been successful so now you were sitting crossed legged on the bed, photo copies of the letters spread out, along with who Tom had been talking to six months before the first letter which was when you heard the door creak open.
You sat up straighter, your hand making it’s way under the pillow as you listened for footsteps but you heard swear words before the door was shut.
You quietly got off the bed, checking the gun as you crossed the room. Placing your hand on the handle, you pushed down before pulling it open slowly. Looking towards Tom’s room, the door was still shut so you turned the opposite direction. Lifting the gun up and creeped down the hall, listening to the ruffling sounds.
‘Tom?’ You asked, poking your head around the wall. Bringing the gun up when you got no answer, you reached around and flicked the lights on.
‘Sweet Jesus.’ The tall man exclaimed as you aimed the gun at him.
‘Who are you?’ You asked, his arms up in the air.
‘Can you put the gun down?’ He asked, you only aimed it up higher.
‘Who are you?’ You asked again, aware of the footsteps behind you.
‘What’s going on?’ Tom asked, rubbing his eyes with the palm of his hands. As he looked at you with the gun out, he followed to where it was pointed.
‘Harrison?’ Tom questioned, you glanced at Tom.
‘Tom, you gonna tell your guard dog to stand down.’ He said, motioning to you whilst his hands stayed up but were lower. Tom quickly stepped in front of you as he noticed your jaw tensing. Your eyes snapped to him before looking at Harrison again.
‘He owns the building.’ Tom said, you looked at him before slowly lowering your gun.
‘He needs to phone before he comes again.’ You warned Tom, who nodded as you tucked your gun under your arm.
‘Keys.’ You said reaching your hand out, he looked at Tom in disbelief as he nodded. Harrison reached into his pocket and handed them over to you.
You turned around before swiftly walking to the room, placing the gun and keys down before heading back into the main toom, just as the men were sitting down.
‘Can you give us a minute?’ Harrison asked, you only stared at him before crossing your arms.
‘I’m not allowed to let him leave my sight.’ You said informing the blonde who looked at Tom.
‘Your idea or his?’ He challenged you, you smirked.
‘His parents.’ You replied, you and Harrison continued to stare at each other, fighting for some sort of dominance.
‘Could you give us some time?’ Tom asked, you looked at him before sighing pushing yourself off the counter.
Crossing the short distance, you extended you hand to Harrison who looked at it confused.
‘I need your phone as well.’ You told him, his jaw dropped.
‘Why?’ He said confused.
‘You can hack an iPhone in under thirty seconds, it takes a further sixty for a person to track us.’ You explained to him.
‘Within ten minutes this place is surrounded and we’re out numbered,’ his eyes widened, ‘so hand it over or get killed.’ You said bluntly, Harrison puffed his cheeks out and handed the phone over, switched it off before removing the sim card as you turned around.
‘I’ll be in the room.’ You said, walking down the hall.
‘Damn she doesn’t mess around, does she?’ You heard Harrison.
‘It’s her job.’ Was the last thing you heard from Tom as you entered your room.
It was quarter to six in the morning when Harrison left, Tom headed back to his toom and you only got a couple of hours of sleep before the nightmares hit.
It was now midday and you and Tom were sitting at the table when your phone rang. Sitting it between the two of you, you pressed t the green phone.
‘Talk to me.’ You said, taking a sip of water.
‘We have a lead on the blood and threats.’ Maria said, through the phone.
‘Who is it?’ You asked.
‘Frank.’ She said, Tom watched as you froze jaw clenched, the muscles pulled tight.
‘Are you sure?’ You asked through gritted teeth.
‘Yes.’
‘Next question,’ Maria waited, ‘is he after me or Tom.’ You asked, your knuckles white from gripping the glass.
‘We don’t know.’ She said, Tom watched as you sat up and rolled your shoulders.
‘We’ll be in by the end of the day.’ You said, tubbing your forehead between your brows.
‘Have six rooms made up in terminal one.’ You said, you could hear the faint sound of a pen scraping paper.
‘Who’s going there?’ She asked, you glanced at Tom to find him already looking at you.
‘Tom and I’ll send you the details of everyone else.’ You told her.
‘Anything else?’ Maria questioned.
‘Get them in the building by oh nine hundred tomorrow.’ You commanded.
‘Got it, see you soon.’ She said before hanging up.
‘Who’s Frank?’ Tom asked, but you continued staring at the phone.
‘Y/N,’ He said, you looked at him, ‘Who’s Frank?’ He asked, your eyes darkened as you stood up.
‘Your worst nightmare.’ You said placing the glass and uneaten breakfast into the sink.
—
Six o’clock rolled by and you thought now would be a good time to leave, the traffic would still be heavy but light enough to get through. You had left Tom inside his room as you moved the back to the car, across the road.
Shutting the front door, Tom was standing in the kitchen when you noticed the cupboard door open. You walked over to it and pressed it shut noticing a black scratch that came from combat boots that neither you, Tom or Harrison had worn.
Stepping back the door swung open, hitting you on the side, causing you to hit your shoulder and head on the other wall. You didn’t have a chance to hesitate as a tall man entered through the back door, turning around you gained speed, pushing past Tom and grabbing your gun from the table.
You raised it but it was quickly hit out your hand, sliding across the floor under the couch. You pushed Tom back, moving him further into the kitchen.
The first man’s fist connected with your jaw, you stumbled into the kitchen and pushed Tom away again, making sure he was safe. You turned and managed t get a good punch in, but his hand reached forward, and his large fingers wrapped around your neck. You searched for Tom when you him at the edge of the kitchen just as it joined onto the living room.
‘Tom run.’ You said, but he continued to look at you as the grip around your throat tightened, oblivious to the man sneaking up behind him. You removed a hand from the pair around your throat and fling it forward, palm open and connected with the man’s nose. He was stunned as the blood slowly dripped from his nose, down his lip but he still didn’t let you go so you raised your leg and connected it with his groin, and he dropped you, falling onto his knees.
Coughing you headed towards your gun, only for a hand to wrap around your ankle and pull causing you to fall face first onto the carpet. Swearing you twisted and kicked the man’s face, giving you a few seconds to get to your feet but you saw the second man pull a gun.
‘Tom?’ You said, he looked down at you, ‘Duck.’ You said, he looked at you confused before doing as you told him, the man behind him missing when he swung, and he stumbled due to the force.
You felt your ankle get grabbed again, before you pulled it out and quickly moved so you were straddling him, but one knee in the centre of his back. He reached behind him like a wild animal trying to get a hold of something as you wrapped and arm around his throat, putting him a choke hold, but he only managed to scratch your skin and draw some blood before he went unconscious and limp.
As the second man stalked Tom, you got off the body and charged at him, avoiding tom, the force of you colliding with him caused you both to fall back into the coffee table. Shards cutting along his back and your arms, the landed had dazed him enough for you to fling a punch. The nose the of the cracking bone filled the room. You continued punching him as your blood and his mixed on his face and your knuckles.
Stopping and leaning back, you took a deep breath before getting off him, wincing as your muscles pulled. Yom was standing wide eyes as you approached him covered in blood.
‘Call henry.’ You gasped, shoving the phone from the counter into his chest, he stumbled but quickly took it. You limped over to the unconscious men searching them for weapons or I. D’s. Wincing as the adrenaline had started to wear off, you limped around the other rooms checking them before heading back to the destroyed room, plopping onto the couch letting out a low groan. Tom walked over and handed you a cloth and one with ice and you nodded in thanks.
—
When there was a chap at the door, Tom tensed as you motioned for him to stay as you raised your gun and walked over. You kept the gun hidden behind the door as you opened it. When you saw the tall dark-haired man you relaxed slightly.
‘Is it clear?’ He asked as you opened the door fully, letting him in, you nodded as he looked at tom who was unscathed, you had down your job.
‘Sit down.’ He commanded, you listened to him and limped over and took a seat looking at him.
‘You good?’ Henry asked, looking at the bruises forming on your skin along with the cuts, you nodded. His fingers held your chin, moving it side to side making sure there wasn’t any permanent damage.
‘How many?’ He asked next, you held up two fingers before glancing at Tom who was sat staring out the window playing with his fingers.
‘Where’d they come from?’ You motioned to the back door, which was still open and then to the closet, Henry looked at them.
‘How’d they know where you were?’ You shrugged, before holding up two fingers again but rotated them back and forth, the sign for two timing, he looked at you his brows furrowed.
‘Are you sure?’ He asked, you leaned forward and picked up the ice, nodding as you pressed it to your neck.
‘That’s gonna be sore.’ He stated, you glared at him noticing the small glint before you rolled your eyes. He got his phone out and typed a text, you watched him closely.
‘We need to get you two to the compound.’ Henry spoke up addressing the pair of you, you slowly stood up as your muscles protested. Tom stood up as well, jumping when the door opened and four men walked in.
‘Luke will drive you both back, the other and I will tidy up.’ He informed you, tom nodded slowly but didn’t move until you turned to him and motioned for him to follow Luke.
‘He had a lot of trust in you.’ Henry spoke up, you looked over your shoulder before joining them.
—
When you reached the compound Tom was escorted to his room as you made a beeline to your room, ignoring the stares. One the door shut you walked across, removing the remaining items of clothing discarded across the floor as you entered the bathroom.
Looking in the mirror you turned to the side, looking at the golf size bruise on your chin. You carefully moved your fingers down your neck, tracing over the fingerprints etched into your skin for the upcoming weeks.
