Bog Cranberries are crazy! Crazy good and crazy where they live and crazy that they are ripe and sweet in Spring, right after snow melt. @kevinkossowan and I made a special effort to get to them this trip. Kevin made some custard at home that he turned to creme brûlée in the bog. Some fresh cranberries on top, and wowzers...what a combo! Even alone, these berries are right up there with anything you’d pick conventionally. Wild food is definitely not just about the meat. We also explored Alder Catkins as a baking spice.
