(un)fortunately i have not read desden codak but it really seems like thats pretty true. i think in both cases theres a male author self-insert who Dates The Hot Girls (although qc is more about Man Feels tbh)

i'm specifically talking about the fact that the het male author self-insert main character of qc is dating a trans woman in the current arc and it has been... respectful i suppose? albeit clunky at times

i don't know particularly what to say about this but it makes me feel weird and kind of patronized
