Timothy Taylor Soldier Spy
Right before the blackout, I had a bottle of Timothy Taylor’s Boltmaker. I was surprised by the punchy flavor of the beer. It tastes quite a bit stronger than the 4.2% ABV label. Boltmaker has a sharp, dry flavor, none of the malty sweetness I was expecting. Hoppy dried herbs come out front followed by a hint of orange marmalade and a note of slightly burnt toast. I was really enjoying, and then I spilt half my pint of the couch. By the time I’d cleaned the cushions, I only tasted bitter.
