Important request of ANYONE seeing the Book of Mormon Tour in Orlando (especially around Christmas/New Years)
soooo i just learned that my kinda strict, hella scary, super professional and really good drama teacher/director is the Florida Nabulungi standby and will be for sure playing her on CHRISTMAS and NEW YEARS (i don't remember eve or day for either) as well as any days on which an understudy is needed. I really want to be able to see it and support her and stuff, but (a) my parents are really uncomfortable taking me to see BoM (even though I've listened to the music on my own) and (b) I have family stuff to do on those days. SO if you're going to see the show and you get a Roberta playing Nabulungi, i would love you forever and to pieces even if you got the teeniest tiniest audio of "Baptize Me" or at least inboxed me to tell me how she was. I've kinda never heard her sing or seen her be silly or really formally perform at all, and this would just be really really really really really cool to me. Thank you so much to whoever can find this!

This post is a few days late and by now the tour has opened in Toronto, but I just wanted to give some final remarks about the tour and the run in Philly.
I’ve seen a number of national tours in my time and I’ve heard ushers talk about how much they like the people in the show and how they’re nice people, but I have never heard or seen a house staff love a cast half as much as the Forrest Theatre house staff loved the Mormon first national cast. There was an usher who I saw around, who came to watch the cast do their ALS bucket challenge and kept telling Chris O’Neil just how much she loved him and the whole cast. That usher was at stage door on the last night, getting pictures with some of the cast, and I kept hearing her tell them - we’re really going to miss you guys. Another usher I encountered, who I always had the pleasure of being around, was telling me how she was really going to miss the cast because they were all such wonderful and sweet people. I don’t know the best way to say it, but it’s pretty fantastic to see how much a house staff can take to a show, especially one that is not exactly the family friendliest. It really warmed my heart to hear all of this, and I hope it warms yours a little, too.
I said this before, but I’ll say it again - I didn’t know what to expect from the Latter Day company, but they really bowled me over with just how wonderful and talented group of people they were. I am so grateful to have gotten to see them over their run - watch some older cast members leave, see new cast members start. Toronto, you’re in for a real treat with this group.
Some final show thoughts: • KJ did a cartwheel into the Orlando entrance for Spooky Mormon Hell Dream, which was absolutely hysterical. • Chris stared KJ down in the Kafe scene and made KJ crack up. • During Tomorrow is A Latter Day, Chris picked up KJ and then KJ returned the favor later on. • I NEED ALEXANDRA NCUBE ON BROADWAY.
KJ and Chris became an amazing duo together, and just watching those two bond and truly become mission companions was just so great. You could tell Chris was going to really miss KJ and that KJ was going to miss Chris.
I could go on for days about this tour cast, but I’ll end with this - Thank you Latter Day tour for being so great, and have fun in Toronto - I’m sure it’s a hoot.

Sorry this isn't on a read more I'm on my phone! Chris was SO GOOD!! I wrote this down so many times. He was KILLING IT!!! Peter didn't bury the plates in the intro which was strange. Chris twerked during hasa diga and it was everything Alex was really good even though she was sick poor girl (she called out at intermission) PETER MITCHELL. YES. BITCH. WORK. Spooky Mormon Hell Dream was SO GOOD TONIGHT oh my god it was the best it's been the whole run here Carole replaced Alex for act two and she was so good!!! It was a crazy time. KJ SARCASTICALLY APPLAUDED DURING THE KAFE SCENE GOODBYE "RON BOHMER" I don't know why I wrote this but it was probably important KJ picked up Chris and spun him around in the scene before Tomorrow Is A Latter Day 🔥🔥🔥 After the show, all the boys got their sweat on me when we had an alley party and KJ blew off everyone but me before he peaced out.
