@oceanbluepaladin liked for an angst starter!
The Blades had caught word about the rumors of Voltron even though they were a bit hard to trust. The lions had gone missing 10,000 years ago before the destruction of Altea by the large empire that had control over the universe now. Luck was soon on the Blades’ side though because of the discovery of the Red Lion and one of the younger members being picked as it Paladin. No one else could pilot the fiery lion which left to Keith being the one that officially belonged to her, it became clear after the raven was trying to get her off of the Galran ship that once held her prisoner. It was unknown what happened to the rest of the lions though since there was no way to find the lions properly, not without help. The Blades were hesitant about the rumors going around with the lions and the planets that were being freed one by one. Keeping Red hidden despite when using her for any missions was a normal occurrence because of the fights against the Galra. There was only so much that they could do though because of how small they actually were, allies were needed if they were actually going to do any damage to the large empire that loomed over their heads. Getting allies on their side was going to be difficult though because of how hard it was to get anyone to trust them because of them being Galra. It was understandable in the long run though, the Galran empire was to blame for what happened to the universe. A universe that lived in fear since a attack could happen at any moment. Everything had been going well for the Blades until the capture of the Red Lion and Keith, that was when everything changed for the battles that they were planning to fight. Those plans were going to be put on hold for now.
Keith’s memory was fuzzy about the capture, a lot of things became a blur once Haggar got ahold of him though. It was hard for the raven to focus or even try to reach out to the Red Lion, Haggar and the other druids were trying to get information from him. He refused though, he wasn’t going to let them know anything about the Blades or the lion. Keith was stubborn like that, he was going to deal with the pain or whatever tests the druids were going to put him though. Falling to the Galra was the last thing that the young Blade wanted to do, he wasn’t going to let them know anything. There would be disappoint when Kolivan and the others found it if a rescue mission was coming for him. Something that Keith figured wasn’t going to happen, attacking Zarkon’s ship was the dumbest thing to do because of all the enemies that crawled around inside of it. Especially Haggar, the druids, and Zarkon himself.
A heavy feeling loomed over Keith’s head as his eyes flickered open at the feeling of shaking that came suddenly throughout the ship. It was hard for him to focus on what was going on though, he couldn’t tell what was happening. Was the large ship under attack or something else? Why would someone be wanting to attack Zarkon’s ship? It was a death wish to do so. Keith knew that the Blades were smarter than that unless they were able to get onto the ship without being noticed by anyone. The weird shaking told him something different though, the Blades wouldn’t do something like this to get them noticed. Exhaustion and pain from the torture that Keith went through was feeling him weak, unable to move at the moment. Sleep really sounded good right now even though everything was screaming at him that it was a bad idea to, he didn’t know why. Eyes just flickered shut though deciding to let his exhaustion carry him away.
