I’m still consuming Inceptiversary content cause we basically spend all year enjoying it until the next July. There’s also a Trick or Treat event this month!

In addition I’m riding the exhilarating No Time To Die wave right now. I’m insanely excited about fresh canon content and all the media hype around it.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank my fandoms for being largely healthy and safe spaces. @blood-suits-and-tears and I were talking recently about how we’ve seen some shit in other places. Every time I think about dipping my toes in another fandom I regret it so hard. The toxicity is on another level. I got into fandom in general as a full blown adult, so honestly I’m not used to this. I’m just here for a good time. For those of you who are somewhat used to the abuse... no. Oh my God no. That’s not normal.

Grateful to be among good folks. We are welcoming and hospitable and inclusive and it will ALWAYS be that way. I’m committed to making my fandoms the best spaces on the goddamn internet after what I’ve seen.

(I mean I moan about a lot of stuff but guys we are SO NOT PROBLEMATIC)

for the #mi6cafechallenge: best bond fandom moments of 2016

i just celebrated by first bondversary (dec 25) so i’m thrilled to be able to make this post! 

the anniversary alone was the major highlight for me, because about 14 months ago, you couldn’t pay me to watch a bond film. even i can’t explain my own transformation. 2016 was the year of the crazy though, so clearly it was the only time i could have jumped into this fandom!!! lol

i am proud of myself  for being able to put aside my thoughts on how propagandist and sexist the movies are and just ENJOY THEM. it takes a lot of energy and i feel liberated (don’t worry my views have not changed, nor should they) and i’m glad to get past my struggle!

here are my other unforgettable fandom experiences of 2016:

-friendships: you guys know who you are and i’m blessed to know you. it was fate that our paths should cross!

-does the crucible count? i saw it several times which gave me the opportunity to get to know a lot of bond fandom folks. the spring and summer period greatly contributed to the friendships i formed. just ask @monologues91 ;) you guys make me come back to tumblr. there are days when i just can’t handle this place anymore and i want to quit, but good people make me come back.

-007fest was in july, which is of course inceptiversary month, so on july 26 @castillon02 and i planned a fun little event for both fandoms and it was so nice to see everyone so engaged! i love bringing fandoms together with crossover events, especially with such amazing, talented, and giving people. that’s the spirit we should have here at all times! (and hey, healthy competition is nice too!!)

-speaking of which, @mi6-cafe was such an inspiration in the planning of inceptiversary and i learned so much from them. they have events all year round and they’re so organized. they really pay tribute to the fandom and celebrate all their works. thank you! 

-the 00qad weekly chat is a great place to unwind. thank you so much @ao3-brihna! 

-i’m so grateful to @spiritofcamelot who was willing to start with the very first bond movie to give me a chance to get to know the franchise. she’s holding her next watch party in a couple of weeks, so keep an eye on her blog! we’re watching thunderball! and i’m indebted to @ayrtonwilbury who will always take the time to explain bond plots and motives to me, with cool trivia thrown in!

-LSversary, which is largely driven by bond fandom folks, was a huge hit this year! we had watch parties for all five episodes of london spy, and the drabblefest was immensely successful! (london spy sucked me into british gay spy hell, and that’s how i ended up here, so while i hate you tom rob smith, you are 10/10 would tap)

-the creation of 00qad!! all hail!! i love this foursome in every version i can get them. thanks to @cassellate this is the post where it all began, and @skylocked and @sunaddicted ran with it and gave us some of the best material i’ve ever seen and read!

-how can we forget the creation of @00kitties to celebrate spy cats and the felines of the fandom??? much like inception, cats play a big part in the bond fandom :D

-nothing slays me like @princesspampuria 

and finally...

-00q is a lovely pairing. i want to thank 00q, in its canon form - which is stupidly loudly unforgivingly incontestably gay - for bringing me here. all i saw repeatedly on tumblr was the gif set from the national gallery scene and... that shit does stuff to your body, man. 

(since we’re on 00q, let me take this opportunity to say that shipping 00q hard is in no way in conflict with the bond movies and our appreciation of them. i love both. i will mock both incessantly and i will praise both proudly. i will back the badass bond girls but i will also say WHY ISN’T Q THE ONLY BOND GIRL. i can have my cake and eat it too. i will.)
