'Bergs to Ben Buckler' 1996 Gouache on paper. The Icebergs pool at Bondi looking over to the Ben Buckler headland. I love it when my earlier work finds a new home to be loved again. The new owners restored the frame. The painting is in pristine condition, vibrant like the day I painted it 26 years ago. It has been very well looked after. I painted versions of this view from 1995 to the mid 2000's. It was one of my signature Bondi paintings. For some unknown reason at the time I thought the pool edge was painted yellow like the original yellow Icebergs before it was rebuilt. Maybe it was?
