My mother and I have a strained relationship, we have for years now. We don't talk much, we don't interact - in fact, we're more like roommates at this point. But, my mother has recently started watching The Umbrella Academy, and I can't express how much I absolutely love it?? She's usually not into shows like that, she likes more stoner flic-like movies and shows, but she's been getting really into it, and I adore how much we've bonded over it. She'll text me at 4am to meet on the patio to talk about a confusing plot point so we don't wake my step dad. She sends me Pinterest memes, and texts me references all day. She also has this very deep love for Klaus (same) and every time something happens out of her control she gasps dramatically and exclaims "what would Klaus say?"
