if bumi can bend rock candy, can he bend any other sugar? and since sugar is made of plants, can they bend the minerals in other plants as well? is it just any crystalline structure? could they bend plastic? which minerals is it that they can bend? can they bend iron sand? ik that metalbending is bending impurities in metal, and they cant bend pure platinum, but could they bend other pure metals? what counts as an impurity? which periodic elements can they bend? im pretty sure every element becomes crystalline at a low enough temp, and waterbenders can lower water temperature or at least force it into a crystalline structure (which opens up the possibility of warm ice), and lavabenders can raise the temp of rocks, so can they melt any metal they can bend? soil is (partially) made of decomposed organic material, is that what they're bending? in that case, could they bend living organic material? could firebenders theoretically bend stars and plasma? if they can bend stars, then can they bend the elements they're made of, or is it due to the heat? if they can bend plasma, does that mean they can bend all electrons? or is firebending just heat? ik it's powered by breathing, which implies that they're igniting the oxygen they take in. in that case, could they increase their firepower by inhaling a higher concentration of hydrogen or other flammable gasses? fire isn't a substance, it's more like a visual consequence of a combustion reaction (at least from what i understand, i think it has something to do with plasma too). its a effect of high energy/heat that produces light. so in a way, aren't they lightbending? could they use this ability to light a magnifying glass on a leaf and light fires or burn from a distance? could they utilize it in art to make colorful light shows or disguises? electrons are waves and particles, whereas energy is mostly a wave but can behave as a particle, so do they have control over all waves, including electrons? could they manipulate other waves, light radio waves, x-rays, or non visible colors like ultraviolet and infrared? in that case, could they use xray imaging? could they use infrared to see in the dark?
