"Last one to the farm's a ROTTEN EGG!"
What better way to test out new designs than with an autumnal scene? I can almost smell the cinnamon, pie and leaves in this one!

It is said that the Sceptre of Harvestar was made from the sickle Ven used to vanquish her enemies. Nowadays it is used as a symbol of peace and a beacon of good fortunes.
Long may they reign.
Spent the weekend doodling Feather n’ Friends for old times sake.
Midnight Train.
In 3 days, 12 hours, and 42 minutes, Persephone WhittleBone will have her life irrevocably changed in ways she will barely comprehend.
But tonight, she will finally be rid of him.
The Valley Express leaves in an hour.
There’s no time for cold feet.
Get out the door and don’t stop running.
And whatever you do, never look back.
Last night when you pulled through
✨️I put a spell on you✨️
It was three times the size in your moon-lit eyes
And I sang you an old tune
Mom sang me when I was half the size
And I looked at you in your moon-lit eyes
Bangs, Part Two: Perse Edition
When I first designed Persephone, her hair was an uphill battle. In my head it was always meant to be choppy and boyish, both to make her relatively androgynous and as a sign of her rough home life. But my skills weren’t quite there yet. While there were aspects of past designs I liked, there were times where what I had just looked bad from certain angles and from drawing to drawing. This was the goal of both this design and Feather’s yesterday; something that I can hope to draw consistently and from multiple angles. (No more “Good Sides” for these two lol)
A Kind Touch.
She's not used to it.
Persephone might be a girl that has next to no clue about how exactly "having friends" and "being loved" works, but underneath that hard jagged exterior is a mushy soft core that's starved for affection, even if she isn't quite sure how to react when it's given to her.
Phonicible P. Bone was no longer a spring chicken.
Each day he creeped closer to "The Big 5-0" was a constant reminder of that.
And the heart attack last year certainly did not help.
He had already given up his youth to be the grown-up his cousins needed. His niece and nephew driving him up the wall should have given him gray hair by now (if he had any to claim.)
His brain thought the last thing he needed was an ankle biter of his own to worry about...
...but his heart saw too much of himself in her.
How someone needed to be a grown-up for her, too. The kind he never got.
Maybe he does have it in him to take care of one more kid...
Not that he'd admit any of that out loud, of course.

A little practice with Black and White by finishing up that sketch from the other day.
