The thing in front of her was hunched over a carcass, ripping away at the tissue. As it fed, its back towards her, Vitriolic heard the wet sound of flesh being rend from skeleton; the pitched snap of bone as one of its hands pushed away the impediment of carrion ribs. Her rifle was raised at this point, and she gripped the gun harder in an attempt to keep her hands from shaking. Her focus was entirely on the being in front of her. Too focused, perhaps. Her boots crunched loudly on a log buried in the snow, and she hissed in panic. The creature startled at the sound, thin hackles rising suddenly. Their head whipped around, its single eye wide and pupil shot, maw a bloodied mess. Vitriolic stared pointedly at a familiar face. “...Assim…?” she breathed. Or; An Assimilation character study, chock full of personal headcanons, including, but not limited to, Assimilation having a mouth— and needing to feed.

Borealis will be the epilogue and last “chapter” to PSB.

…that’s not to say I don’t have more works planned. I’m certainly leaning towards another piece that follows the events of PSB, but I have… something… I want to release before that.

Hey!! Just finished reading a new chapter (which is amazing) and I'm curious did you take any inspirations for vitri's character?

heeeelllloooo! first off, thank you so much for reading :]

personality wise, nothing anything too directly at first, but as I started writing her I realized she was reminding me a lot of Undyne and a little bit of Susie from UTDR. while I didn’t physically reference any of their dialogue when writing Vitriolic, I think definitely drew inspiration from bits of their character— very rough and tumble, but a good person when it comes down to it.

other than that, she’s kind of an amalgamation of my own idea of her personality and the way others have shaped her! @tropicalcontinental and @rudavoidish’s vitri designs and personalities are some that I adore the most and have definitely subconsciously pulled bits from.

overall I just wanted to give her a lot of depth! or as much as I could given my source material is a fifteen minute long video… I think she’s very interesting and it makes me very happy people like the way I’ve characterized her.
