#FantasySeries Re-Read of Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson #4) | Book Chat
Do you have any series you marathoned or ones you are reading and just want to keep picking up the next book? That has been the Mercy Thompson series for me lately. I’m currently on book four and just want to keep going! The books aren’t perfect, but are just what I need. They have a kickass heroine, a great cast of characters and so entertaining! #seriesmarathoning #mercythompson #bookstagram #patriciabriggs #bonecrossed #seriesreads #currentlyreading #goosethecat #books #bookish #booksandcats #downthebookhole #urbanfantasy @goosebandersnatch https://www.instagram.com/p/CHNv0NNgfPp/?igshid=w8rj92d525oo

New Arrivals
I’m so excited to bring these two gross children into my lore finally. :>
I apologize in advance for any errors. I’m a little unfocused at the moment!

“Where did you say you were from?” Velina asked, staring at the pair of dragons before her with unease. According to Calypso, the Pearlcatcher and Fae had just shown up in the middle of their camp asking to see their new queen. This did not bode well with her.
The Pearlcatcher grinned up at her in her throne, “Our previous clan lived very near the Wyrmwound, your majesty.” Velina shifted uncomfortably in her seat and nodded, shifting her gaze from the Pearlcatcher to the Fae.
“You say that they lived there... Where are they now?”
Much to her surprise the Fae remained silent, his clawed hands signing rapidly. “Do you not speak?”, she asked with mild curiosity. It was the Pearlcatcher who answered her, “No, you’re majesty. He’s mute.” Velina tapped a long claw against the side of her head, “I see. So then, I’ll ask you, where are they now?”

Proposition
I’d like to apologize for taking so long to write this. IRL stuff has been really difficult and hectic lately, though I’m hoping for positive change in the very near future. ; 3; This isn’t as long as I’d like for it to be, but honestly I’m just happy to get something up.
---------------
Everything had gone according to plan.
The clan was hers, the ship was hers, and most importantly, the throne was hers. Building a kingdom from nothing would be no easy task, but Velina never did shy away from a challenge. Yes, everything was going exactly the way it was suppose to.
“This is madness.”
Narcissus. It was no surprise that he was angry after what she’d done to his former charge. She cared not. Let him mumble his grievances under his breath, it made no difference to her.
Lost in her thoughts she almost didn’t notice Ramsay approaching her. He held his head high, his smile and movements controlled. “Velina-”, his grin widened, “Your highness. I was wondering if I could steal just a moment of your time?” Velina took a deep breath and forced a thin smile back at him. “Of course, Ramsay. What do you need?”

Okay, this is sorta a long one, but I felt like I needed to write a longer opening this time.
Anyways, this is the start to my new Plague clan for when I move back! Why wait until then though? :>
Warning for: blood, death, gore, all that sorta stuff, ect. (just to be safe!)

An Old Friend
They attacked under the cover of darkness, their movements as quiet and as light-footed as a cat’s. The small village laid in the Wispwillow grove just near the Plague border and the plan was simple; get all of the riches they could carry and kill anyone who stood in their way.
Upon reaching the outskirts of the village their leader, an imposing Ridgeback, held up his claw, bringing them to a halt. “We must wait until the moment is right, lads.” The brawny Guardian who stood at his right tilted his large head towards his Captain, eyes hard and unblinking. “What’s there to wait for?”, he growled under his breath.
A sly smile spread across the Captain’s lips as he watched the village’s guards shift their positions, leaving their backs wide open. “That”, he said softly, inching forward ever so slowly towards the village once more. His crew followed, weapons and claws at the ready.
I had an amazing evening at the book signing, I'm just sad it will be the last one I go to for a long time unless Patty magicly does a signing in Bahrain. Since Fire Touched wasn't delivered until after I left for the signing(poo on you amazon and usps for not sending a confirmation), I got one of my other books signed instead. I love all of the books in this series and can't wait to see where this new book will take the series!! #patriciabriggs #mercythompsonseries #mercythompson #firetouched #newbook #booksigning #bookreading #universitybookstore #universitybookstoreseattle #seattle #udistrict #washington #crywolf #bonecrossed #booklove #bookworm #booklife #bookstagram #booknerd #bookaddict #favoritebooks #readreadread #book9 (at University Book Store)
