i’m finally watching the second grave digger episode of bones (4x13) and can I just say... bones is so delusional that it’s not even believable at this point. angela to bones: it’s ok to save someone you love, give over the evidence. bones: what? I don’t love booth! 

..... I’M JUST TIRED. I love a slow burn romance as much as the next gal, but the other slow burns are more subtle so it makes it buyable that they haven’t gotten together yet. bones and booth, however, are the LEAST subtle about hiding their feelings for each other. it just... isn’t believable anymore. it comes off as bad writing, or writing meant to just keep hooking the audience bc they don’t know how to write a show when they’re together.

an update on my bones watch: I just finished season 1. i’m ???? I know that this slow-burn between booth and bones is like... super slow aka why they call it a slow-burn... but omfg I’m dying over here bc it’s so obvious they love each other like ????????? also bones’s dad is alive ??? i’m shook

I think you underestimate the slow burn of Bones and the literal torture some episodes put you through, I’m pretty sure I’ve cried at least once for every main character... also the music is so fucking perfect

oh I don’t think I have bc trust me I know what it’s like sjdhsdg one of my fav ships of all time is a slow burn that takes like... seasons for them to get together but then when they do they break up after like half a season ???? they get back together later but I was just wtf fuck this. i’m excited though!!! I love the slow burn but I swear I have never seen two characters so terrible at hiding their feelings for each other but also so unwilling to express them (i’m talking about bones/booth ofc). like I said in my last message, I just watched the episode with the grave digger and booth was beside himself when bones was kidnapped. I thought they were finally gonna kiss in that episode, or I thought she was gonna declare her love for him when hodgins gave her the pen and paper and asked her if she wanted to say goodbye to anyone. I have a feeling that may come back tho? I hope it does

Yasss girl. Bones is so good (especially the early seasons as per with my shows). The humour and emotions. The characters. BRENNAN!!

sorry I just saw this sjhdgsgd but bones is so good so far!! some people have been saying it goes downhill like after season 6 or 7 but I will stick around i’m sure bc of bones and booth (i’m only on season 2 but i’m Trash for them)

They love each other so much it’s so CLEAR but the slow burn is beautiful

I just… how slow is this slow-burn (don’t tell me tho i’m just being annoying) i’m super impatient but at the same time I love slow-burns SO MUCH… bc there’s nothing like watching two people (or in this case, characters) fall in love. it’s just the purest and most beautiful thing. to watch those little things blossom into more.. you know when u see that first ~Look~ or lingering ~glance~ or ~hand touch~ and you’re like oh here we go this is gonna be something beautiful. I love it a lot. but i’m also dying over here shdsgd

So... My dad decided now was a good time to continue our bones watch... And....

But I mean like Brennan grew up in a really wack way, especially with the way her dad acted. And with the death of her mom, its believable that she has a hard time coming to terms with her love towards booth. And like alongside her mental health probs, it makes sense dude.

The fact that Booth has made it pretty blatantly obvious to her that he loves her... like idk man. I’m not an Expert on this show, it’s only my first time watching it. And I’ve definitely taken breaks watching it bc I’ve lost interest a few times so my memory may be fuzzy, but there’s just been a lot of moments between the two of them where they almost kissed. And situations where it seems like Bones has even acknowledged her feelings for Booth (I think in 4x01, for instance.) I know she’s had a lot to deal with, with her parents seemingly dying and abandoning her... and I know that genius does not equal emotional intelligence, but I just don’t Buy it at this point. I’ve been frustrated about it for some time which is why I quit watching it for like... a month or so. But my memory also sucks so. And I love a good slow burn it’s my favorite kind of romantic trope other than forbidden love, but I feel like it’s been so obvious since season two (really since the pilot let’s be real..) that it’s not believable that they’d both be so blind and unwilling to admit it. They’re both grown adults. They aren’t 15 year-olds.
