“You’ve got no choice.”
“No I do,” she told him. “But, you know I’ve never been good at staying away from you.” She kissed his shoulder as she sat next to him.

Olivia thought it was a reasonable assumption that it was her last night on Earth. Possibly, depending on how things played out, her last hour.
There was no hiding the blood trail she left as she fled. No way to fool her pursuers. It might have been easier on her if she’d given up, rather than trying to run, but she wasn’t the type for that. No, if they were going to kill her, they’d work for it.
She wedged a chair under the door, and slid down the wall to sit on the floor. The knife wound in her arm bled freely, already soaking through the shirt she’d wound over it to flow in little rivulets down her forearm. She’d left splashes all over the place behind her. On the floor, smeared on the wall when she stumbled. She could feel herself getting light-headed and knew shock was setting in.
Sloppy. She’d been so very sloppy and impatient. She knew better than to charge in a nest of vampires before she was sure how many were there. She’d thought there were two. Contestant #3 came out of nowhere. It was sheer luck he hadn’t sliced open an artery. Not that it mattered much. She’d killed one, and the other two would find her any minute and return the favor. Maybe she should have stuck to research. Well, it was too late now.
She pulled a flask out of her pocket, unscrewing it with shaking hands, and taking a swallow of amber whiskey. If nothing else, the bloodsuckers were going to know they’d been in a fight. She laid her machete across her lap and waited for them to bash in the door.

Don sat in the living room, just finishing of the last bits of a bottle of bourbon. Not a whole one, there was about two inches worth left in the thing and he decided to finish it off. After his latest ordeal he needed it, still shaking his head in disbelief. He loved Fee to pieces but man did she love stressing him out, if he took his eyes off of her for one second he could find her causing some kind of trouble that was completely unnecessary. This time it was a fairly lethal full-fledged demon that she swore up and down was harmless, but Don knew better. A capable witch she may be but she was way too trusting, and it took a lot out of the cambion to send the entity packing once again.
As he slumped on the couch slowly recharging his energy when he perked up at the sound of the door opening, signalling Sawyer’s return. “Hey,” he waved wearily, looking over at his surly looking companion and only wanting him closer, patting the space next to him. “You would be proud of me, I actually put my foot down this time. You should’ve seen the thing she summoned this time, honestly I don’t know where she finds them.”

--- The golden haired angel sat quietly in the car, having not uttered a word to the man driving. Since appearing to him he had been nothing but unaccepting of her as his guardian angel. Which was the one thing she wanted, his acceptance of her and her wanting to help him and keep him safe. If she was blunt, she was hurt, having the urge to apologize every time she opened her mouth to utter a word to him. No matter what she did, she was always met with distance from him.
She understood that how he was but it didn’t make it hurt any less in the angel’s eyes. The two were currently on a new hunt, something called a Wendigo from what Sawyer said.

There were few things left in this world that put him in such a good mood. Hunting. It was a catharsis he couldn’t get enough of and he knew he loved it too much. That thought didn’t stop him from taking on this nest with another hunter, Sawyer. Kid seemed to have his shit together, and Adam was never gonna say no to lending another hunter a hand. He just never bothered to tell the kid who or what he was. He watched the remaining vamps start to scatter in the barn. Some were looking for escape routes, but most of those had been blocked off before they’d started to hit the place. Adam jumped over a barrel that had been shoved in his way and swung. The sick thwack of metal and flesh rose up to the hayloft as he cut the head cleanly. He felt something sharp. Cut. He smelled more blood, felt it drip down his forehead. Adam let out a yell, charged, and slammed the beast into the nearest post with his blade placed on the creature’s neck. “You okay kid?” he yelled back at Sawyer, unable to see the man where he was. @bonesofmetal
