The mobile he still had resting on his face hummed. New message. Oh my fucking goodness– Was this some kinda nightmare and he hadn’t managed to wake up yet? Elias was about to type up a reply to asshat stranger when another couple of messages came in.
He was only mildly surprised. Wow. That someone had managed to locate his phone number. He didn’t even bother to secure it too much. How did they just manage to break through, oh no. Oh, how did that person dooo that… The young man groaned.
[text]: oh my goooood how do i know where i aaaa m [text]: but thanks for asking [text]: ive been not enjoying my time here so far
Because of people like you, he added in thought. Turning onto his side – which he immediately regretted because he was now resting on his fucked up shoulder, but was far too lazy to turn again – he placed the phone on the bed as far away as possible. Maybe he should put the kettle on. Some midnight tea should help calm nerves. As a regular tea drinker he was more than glad that the hotel room offered that possibility.

sen7inel waited and waited in the dark of her industrial loft, a proud little smile on her tired face with what she’d done.
Oh, she must’ve scared whoever it was on the other end now, she thought.
Yet, when her phone went off once more, the sarcastic replies that filtered in made her little smile falter. Though, it absolutely confirmed that the stranger was actually in Chicago which was useful. She’d take that as a small win.
Because if this person on the other end was actually some kind of hacker, the Coyote’s potential competition just grew. And that made her both curious and nervous.
[BLOCKED NUMBER]: ur welcome asshole [BLOCKED NUMBER]: wat r u in chi-town 4? [BLOCKED NUMBER]: checkin out the pizza?
She settled back in her plush computer chair and brought a hand up to rest her head against, waiting to see what the other said. Small talk might not get her anywhere, but she was already getting bored with the snark-filled replies going back and forth. Hopefully, it’d be a little more productive.
